  1. ***IMPORTANT AUTOMATIC UPGRADE INFORMATION*** - "IF" you are a REGISTERED USER
  2. of any 1.5x version of MERLIN and are upgrading from this diskette, DO NOT copy
  3. the MERLIN.COM or MERLIN.DAT files on this diskette to your hard drive!  Your
  4. registered MERLIN.COM file suppresses shareware messages built into the MERLIN
  5. program and your MERLIN.DAT file contains your city's tracking location plus
  6. the nearly 100 tracking locations and also any changes you may have made to
  7. your MERLIN.DAT file.  Copy all the files on this diskette EXCEPT these two!

  9. At this point, I want to CAUTION you - No person or computer program, not even
  10. MERLIN, can predict the future.  ALWAYS pay close attention to the progress of
  11. an approching storm, and heed the warnings of local authorities in your area.
  12. If they say to evacuate, DO IT!  The Twelve Hour Projection is the most recent
  13. trend of the storm extended 12 hours into the future.  There is NO guarantee
  14. that the most recent trend will continue.
