  1.                          mom's apple pie

  4. Crust (makes 2):

  6. 2-1/2 c. flour
  7. salt
  8. 3/4 c. shortening (maybe
  9.     MORE)
  10. ice water
  11.  
  12. Filling (each):
  13.  
  14. 1/4 c. sugar
  15. 1 T. flour
  16. sliced apples
  17. 1/2 c. sugar
  18. cinnamon
  19. 1 T. butterPut 1/4 c. sugar and flour on pie crust.  Arrange apples. 
  20. Sprinkle with remaining sugar and cinnamon and dot with butter. 
  21. Bake at 400 degrees (375 for glass) for just under an hour.
