  4. 1 c. brown sugar
  5. 1 c. white sugar
  6. 1 c. shortening
  7. 2 t. anise flavoring
  8. 1 c. honey
  9.  
  10. Decorator's Frosting:

  12. 3 unbeaten egg whites
  13. 1 lb. sifted powdered sugar
  14. 1/2 t. cream of tartar
  15.  
  16. 1 c. warm coffee
  17. 1 t. baking soda
  18. 2 t. baking powder
  19. 7 c. flour (about)Mix in order given.  Let stand overnight.  Roll, cut and
  20. bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.  Makes about 14 to 15 large
  21. hearts.  To make frosting, beat with electric mixer for about 10
  22. minutes.
