  1. READ.ME for SETUPPRN.EXE
  2. ------------------------
  3. SETUPPRN.EXE is a shareware program which facilitates printer configuration 
  4. by allowing you to easily send printer configuration commands to your 
  5. printer.  It will run under DOS or windows.
  6.  
  7. DOS installation and WINDOWS installation are described below.
  8.  
  9. After installing SETUPPRN, please read SETUPPRN.TXT for complete 
  10. instructions or just try running the program.

  13. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  14. -------------------
  15. DOS 3.x or DOS and WINDOWS 3.x
  16. 512K or more RAM
  17. The program will run from a floppy or a hard drive
  18. Any printer recognized by DOS
  19.

  21. DOS INSTALLATION
  22. ----------------
  23. 1. Create a directory for the program.
  24.     
  25.     Sample create directory command: MKDIR SETUPPRN
  26.  
  27. 2. Copy SETUPPR.EXE to the new directory.
  28.  
  29.     Sample copy command: COPY A:\SETUPPR.EXE C:\SETUPPRN
  30.  
  31. 3. Change to the SETUPPRN directory.
  32.  
  33.     Sample change directory command: CD \SETUPPRN
  34.  
  35. 4. Run SETUPPRN.EXE to expand the executable and data files.
  36.  
  37.     Sample run command: SETUPPR
  38.  
  39. 5. Run the program to configure your printer: 
  40.  
  41.     Sample command: SETUPPRN
  42.  
  43. 6. (This step is optional) You may want to add the \SETUPPRN directory
  44.    to your path so that you do not have to change to \SETUPPRN before
  45.    running the program each time. If so add a line like the following to 
  46.    the end of the PATH command in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.

  48.     Sample addition to path:     ;C:\SETUPPRN

  51. WINDOWS INSTALLATION
  52. --------------------
  53. 1. Create a directory for the program using File Manager.
  54.     
  55.     File Menu, Create Directory option, name the directory SETUPPRN
  56.  
  57. 2. Copy SETUPPR.EXE to the new directory using File Manager.
  58.  
  59.     File Menu, Copy option (for example)
  60.         From  A:\SETUPPR.EXE 
  61.         To    C:\SETUPPRN
  62.  
  63. 4. Run SETUPPRN.EXE to expand the executable and data files.
  64.  
  65.     Double click on SETUPPR.EXE
  66.  
  67. 5. Add SETUPPRN to one of your program groups in program manager.
  68.  
  69.     File Menu, New, Program Item, Browse and find SETUPPRN.PIF
  70.  
  71. 6. Run the program to configure your printer.

  73.     Double click on the Setup Printer icon.
