  4.              which it reads to display the help data.
  5.              You can change it to suit your own needs, it's not real
  6.              critical.

  10.                       ASCII-PRINT PRO MAIN MENU
  11.  
  12.  GO     - Use this option to begin the print job.
  13.  FILE   - Choose the file you wish to print.
  14.  LAYOUT - Displays the different LAYOUT options visually. You are asked
  15.           to select the LAYOUT style you wish to use.
  16.  TABS   - Allows you to select the TAB value ASCII-PRINT will use
  17.           when it encounters an embedded TAB character in your text file.
  18.           ASCII-PRINT allows you to turn off TABS using this option.
  19.  BREAKS - You can Enable or Disable imbedded PAGE BREAK characters.
  20.  MARGIN - One Inch LEFT margin for 3-Hole punch. PORTRAIT only.
  21.  SIDES  - One-Side or Both-Sides of page printing.
  22.  LOGO   - Edit, disable, enable the way your LOGO LINE will print.
  23.  COPIES - Laser printers can print 1-99 COPIES of any page.
  24.           Use this option to tell the printer how many copies you want.
  25.           ( Normal setting is 1 copy of each page ).
  26.  OTHER  - You may turn off page-numbering, page-shadowing, select
  27.           a different font.
  28.  EXTRA  - PRINT WEEKLY CALENDARS, GRAPH PAPER, and MUSIC PAPER.
  29.  PRINTER- Select PRINTER MODEL, PORT and TRAY.
  30.  COLORS - You can select your favorite colors to come up when using
  31.           ASCII-PRINT PRO.  Go Crazy!

  35.         ASCII-PRINT PRO     WEEK-AT-A-GLANCE CALENDAR
  36.  
  37.         Prints a 7-day calendar for the week you pick from this list.

  40.                 ASCII-PRINT PRO   PAGE BREAKS SELECTION
  41.         USE page breaks: [default]
  42.             Some ASCII TEXT files have IMBEDDED PAGE BREAK CHARACTERS
  43.         within the text. You can identify them, because they look like
  44.         this -->    character.
  45.             They are created with a CNTRL+L keystroke. Ascii code 12.
  46.             This command tells the printer to stop printing this page
  47.         and go on to the next page.
  48.  
  49.         IGNORE page breaks:
  50.             If you want this program not to use these commands, and to
  51.         print maximum text lines to the paper.

  54.                ASCII-PRINT PRO    TAB SELECTION MENU
  55.         Select TAB values to match the text file you are printing.
  56.         TABs cause spaces to be inserted into the printed document
  57.         until the column number divided by the TAB amount has a
  58.         remainder of ZERO. ( this is called a MODULUS ).
  59.         Example: if you are at column 5 and TAB = 8 when a TAB char
  60.         is found, SPACES will be inserted in columns 5,6,7,8 before
  61.         the next character is printed.

  63.         Experiment with this option to achieve the best looking
  64.         printed results. You will get used to TABS.

  67.         ASCII-PRINT PRO - OTHER OPTIONS
  68.         PAGE NUMBERING - Default is ON.
  69.           When ON the page number is printed to the UPPER-LEFT of
  70.         each square on the paper.
  71.         PAGE SHADOWING - Default is ON.
  72.           When ON the square boxes are SHADOWED with a dark line
  73.           to the right and bottom.
  74.         FONT SELECT - LIGHT - BOLD. Default is LIGHT.
  75.           The LIGHT font is not as dark as the BOLD font. Choose the
  76.           one you like the best.
  77.           Not all styles have a BOLD font, but if one is available
  78.           for your style, it will be selected if you choose BOLD.

  81.         ASCII-PRINT PRO    SELECT STYLE: PORTRAIT OR LANDSCAPE

  83.         PORTRAIT: Prints the selected week in 7 rows format.

  85.         LANDSCAPE: Prints the selected week in 7 column format.

  87.         If you can't decide, print a sample of both, and see which
  88.         one you like the best!

  93.         You may add a ONE INCH LEFT MARGIN to your documents.

  95.         This allows you to use a 3-Hole Punch with your printed

  98.         This option is only valid when printing in PORTRAIT style.

  101.         ASCII-PRINT PRO    SELECT ONE-SIDE or BOTH-SIDES PRINTING.

  103.         ONE SIDE PRINT -   Your document will be printed only on the
  104.           front side of the paper. The back side will be blank.

  106.         BOTH SIDED PRINT - The first printing pass will do all of the
  107.           document front side printing, then PAUSES for you to
  108.           turn the paper over and put it back into the printer, and
  109.           continues to print the back sides of the document.

  111.         DUPLEXING PRINTERS - The program will automatically print on
  112.           both sides of each page if you select BOTH SIDES PRINT and
  113.           the DUPLEXING PRINTER option ( in the printer setup menu ).

  116.         ASCII-PRINT PRO    SELECT PRINTER FEED TYPE
  117.  
  118.  AUTOMATIC - The printer feeds paper from the automatic feed portion
  119.              of your paper tray. You just have to make sure that there
  120.              is enough paper in the tray, as usual.
  121.  
  122.  MANUAL FEED - This is excellent for printing on both sides of the
  123.              paper.  IMPORTANT: when printing on both sides......
  124.              DO NOT USE PLAIN (inexpensive) COPY MACHINE PAPER!!!
  125.              If you do, The paper <crinkles-up> when printing the
  126.              second side. I found this out the hard way, so learn
  127.              from my mistakes!
  128.  
  129.              Use Good Quality paper when printing on both sides.
  130.              ( the thicker the better ) to avoid the <crinkles>.

  133.         ASCII-PRINT PRO   SELECT PRINTER PORT

  135.      If you don't know which PORT to use:
  136.  
  137.      First, try PORT 1    ( this is the default, and the most common )
  138.        then, PORT 2.
  139.        then, PORT 3.

  141.      If that doesn't work, go ask a friend who knows a lot about
  142.      computers what you should do next.

  144.      Normally you don't have to worry, just select PORT 1.

  148.       Please tell ASCII-PRINT PRO what kind of Laser Printer you have.

  154.       Your printer must be at least ---> HP PCL LEVEL IV compatable.

  161.       M - Select the model of Laser Printer you are using.
  162.           Normally, use the HP Laser Jet II if you are not sure.

  165.           printer which can print on both sides of a page.

  167.       P - Select the PORT your printer is connected to.
  168.           LPT1 is the normal printer port.
  169.           COM1 COM2 is not supported by this program.

  171.       T - Select MANUAL FEED or AUTOMATIC FEED.
  172.           AUTOMATIC FEED is the most common method.

  177.         The LOGO LINE normally contains your COMPANY NAME and
  178.           CASE NUMBER or CASE NAME.

  181.         DON'T PRINT LOGO LINE - The LOGO LINE will not be printed.
  182.         PRINT ON FIRST PAGE ONLY - Prints the LOGO LINE on the first

  203.             is printed as the first page of your document.
  204.             NOTE: BOOKLET CANNOT print more than 400 pages of text,
  205.                   because you could NEVER fold 100 sheets of paper
  206.                   and staple them!

  208.         FLAT STYLE - Used when you are not planning to fold your
  209.             finished document, suitable for putting in flat binders
  210.             or just stapling one corner.
