  5. 28 Nov 91  VIEW:  The number of messages is displayed in upper left corner.

  9. 2 July 91  POSTMAN:  Changes were made to allow Netware 386 run smoothly.

  11. 23 May 91 Configr: MailOut filename, Save Filename will have the novell mail
  12.                    directory filled in if blank.
  13.           Pconfig:  Fixed bug that caused it to die if in 50 line mode.
  14.           Postman:  Fixed bug that caused it to fail if <SPACES> were
  15.                     contained in the VIEW.MBX file.
  16.           VIEW: You can now have a default configuration for the lan.  Copy a
  17.                 sample MAILER.CFG to  \VIEW\DEFAULT.CFG.  New users of the LAN
  18.                 Mailer will have their initial setup copied from
  19.                 \VIEW\DEFAULT.CFG.

  21. 16 May 91 View:  Lan version:  Auto-Mailbox updating is disabled while
  22.                  you are composing messages.  This resolved a problem that
  23.                  caused the screen to look 'messed-up' if things started to
  24.                  happen while you were doing other things.

  26.                  The '?' now displays how many copies of the Mailer are being
  27.                  used on the network.

  29. 7 May 91 Postman/View:  Fixed a problem that occurred if the Novell userid was
  30.                         greater than 8 characters.  Postman now reads
  31.                         \VIEW\ALIAS file to convert 8 character name into
  32.                         longer novell name (IE: supervis supervisor)

  34. 3 May 91 Postman: Fixed a problem that stopped postman from using userids with
  35.                   no fullname specified in the SYSCON.

  37. 12 March 91  View: Fixed a problem with screen updating when a novell broadcast came
  38.                    in while new mail was arriving.  Increased mailbox size
  39.                    from 175 messages to 300 messages (only the oldest 300 are
  40.                    shown, newer messages are not lost of course)

  43.              VIEW:  Auto-update bug fixed; when mailbox is empty.

  46. 5 March 91  VIEW/POSTMAN:  Lan Version:  Semaphores are used to lock files.
  47.                       This change stopped difficulties with view & postman
  48.                       both trying to lock files at the same time.

  50.             VIEW: All $$MAIL$$.TMP files have been changed to userid.TMP
  51.                   This allows more than one copy of the stand-alone view to
  52.                   run on a shared volume.  In the past, each copy would
  53.                   clobber the .TMP files of another copy.

  55. 19 Feb 91 BROADCAST:  A new program.  Allows people to have a list of users in
  56.                       a file, and send a message to each user in this file.
  57.                       The difference is that each user only sees themselves in
  58.                       the header.  This is important when you are sending mail
  59.                       to huge user lists.  At this time, broadcast is LAN
  60.                       version only.

  62. 19 Feb 91 VIEW/CONFIGR:  New environment variable.
  63.                     SET MAILER.CFG=C:\SPOOL\MYNAME.CFG
  64.                     allows you to specify the full dos filename of an
  65.                     alternate configuration.  This allows you to have
  66.                     different batch files, call in different configurations.

  68. 19 Feb 91 POSTMAN:  Changed the way some functions were be called.  The result
  69.                     should cause POSTMAN not to 'hit' to servers so hard
  70.                     during its 'search_and_deliver' runs.

  74.                          under a heavy load.  Trying some different approaches
  75.                          to make locking more reliable.  This only affects

  119.                      faster with the new calls.  Also added some error

  123.                      to be sent to the user.

  125.            VIEW&CHECK:  date/time is pulled from the file server and the
  126.                         workstation clock is updated.

  128.            VIEW&CONFIGR:  You can specify a default path/filename for ALT-S.
  129.                           You can specify PageEject with ALT-P.
  130.                           You can specify that the screen should be
  131.                           automatically updated when new mail arrives.

  133.            VIEW (LAN):  Novell broadcast messages are trapped and displayed.
  134.            The last 5 messages are displayed instead of the little line at the
  135.            bottom.  The workstation continues to function instead of freezing
  136.            due to the novell (CTRL-ENTER to CONTINUE)

  153.                   erased.  Fixed problem of FROM: field in header if Realname

  158.            VIEW:  Fixed bug in parsing Reply-To: field when replying to
  159.            messages.   View properly positions the cursor when composing new
  160.            messages if you use QE.EXE or EMACS.EXE as the editor.   Fixed bug
  161.            that caused 'keep outmail?' to be turned off.  Lines containing
  162.            equals signs '===========' are not removed except if they are in
  163.            the message header.  View can now run batch files as viewer/editor.

  167.            VIEW:  Add-On manager can now load batch files, not just executables.

  177. 29 Aug 90  VIEW: Added locking/unlocking routines so that new mail can arrive
  178.            while in mailbox.  View releases the mail file when it is not using
  179.            it, and checks to see if 'busy' before locking again.

  181.            VIEW will now read \view\alias  This will allow master user
  182.            lists to be created. (lan version)

  184.            VIEW: The "/" key or the right mouse button will display a menu
  185.            on-screen.  The menu displays misc functions.

  188.            Most files are read at least 3 times faster.

  190.            ADD-ON:  Fixed bug which caused add-on to hang the computer if
