  8.   I am continuing to study the possibility of distributing The Hack Report
  9.   via diskette in addition to its current means of distribution.  This is
  10.   purely a PRELIMINARY study, as I am not yet sure if I want to take the
  11.   plunge into mailing out disks.  If this becomes a reality, I will need to
  12.   impose a charge to cover the costs of mailing, supplies, etc.  Everyone
  13.   would still be able to obtain The Hack Report for free via BBS systems,
  14.   of course:  I write it as a free public service and will always do so.

  16.   If you would be interested in obtaining The Hack Report via mailed
  17.   diskette, please let me know via FidoNet NetMail or Internet e-mail.  My
  18.   addresses are listed above.  No subscriptions will be accepted at this
  19.   time, so please don't give me your mailing address yet.  I'm simply
  20.   testing the waters to see if there is a demand.

  22.   Do ***NOT*** reply in one of the echos I monitor and/or moderate:  the
  23.   moderator won't take it too kindly if you do.  Also, please try not to
  24.   send your replies via any of The HackWatchers, since they are busy enough
  25.   with their regular duties.

  27.   My Internet e-mail address is still in a state of flux, as I have not
  28.   been able to set up a new account here yet.  I can always be reached at
  29.   either ljackson@BIX.com or 76040.2743@compuserve.com, but please allow
  30.   for a delay if you use either of these addresses:  I am only able to pick
  31.   up my mail twice a week on BIX and once a week on CompuServe.

  33.   Finally, if you experience a delay in receiving your copy of The Hack
  34.   Report, please contact me, especially if you are making regularly
  35.   scheduled long-distance phone calls to obtain it.  This month's issue
  36.   fell victim to nasty system bugs on both my computer and myself - it's no
  37.   fun writing the report when your memory manager backfires, and even less
  38.   if you happen to be running a fever when it happens.  I apologize for the
  39.   delays this month, and will do all I can to make it up to folks who have
  40.   been inconvenienced.
