  606.             If you use diskettes to distribute your offerings,
  607.             you are NOT permitted to bundle S.I. issues on the
  608.             same diskette(s) that contain material made by
  609.             others including by you, with the exception of the
  610.             "header" file or archive comment mentioned above.

  612.             If you bundle your offerings on a BBS, a hard disk
  613.             or removable large-storage device (such as a
  614.             Bernoulli, Syquest, floptical or CD-ROM), other
  615.             software products can be included, but not in the
  616.             same directory(s) that contain S.I. issues.

  618.         2.  No fee may be charged for the magazine content,
  619.             although you may charge whatever fee you want for
  620.             the blank diskette, formatting, copying, packaging,
  621.             BBS-general-access charges, distribution and
  622.             mailing involved.  It must be obvious to the
  623.             customer that they are not being charged for the
  624.             magazine, but rather for the above
  625.             handling/shipping costs.

  627.         3.  Unless you have personalized written permission
  628.             from Applied Foresight, Inc. (AFI hereafter), you
  629.             may not assert that (a) you have made special
  630.             arrangements with AFI or R.H. Martin to
  631.             distribute ShareDebate International or (b) that
  632.             AFI or R.H. Martin endorses your organization or
  633.             any other product that you're involved with.

  635.         4.  If you charge anything for distributing S.I.,
  636.             including shipping/handling or BBS membership fees,
  637.             you must provide AFI (address below) with your full
  638.             address and material (diskette copy, brochure,

  651.             edition is NOT to be considered Shareware nor
  652.             Freeware.  The paper-based edition is a
  653.             copyrighted-commercial product.

  656.               REPRINTING SELECTED ARTICLES IN SHAREDEBATE
  657.                              INTERNATIONAL:

  659.            Articles in ShareDebate International not written by
  660.         R.H. Martin mostly are copyright-owned by someone else.
  661.         Although the entire magazine can be distributed as
  662.         defined above, individual articles need to be
  663.         separately negotiated for.  As for articles written by
  664.         R.H. Martin, permission to reprint will almost always
  665.         be granted to reprint it on a non-exclusive basis as an
  666.         individual article reprint.  Contact me ahead of time
  667.         and I can provide you with the article's text in an
  668.         easy to use word-processing form, assuming permission
  669.         is granted.  I do seek fairness and if your standard
  670.         reprint policy is to pay a small sum, I expect the
  671.         same.  If your standard reprint policy is to pay
  672.         nothing, I would not expect any money but I would want
  673.         two copies of the publication.  In your request for

  698.                SUBSCRIPTIONS AND BACK ISSUE AVAILABILITY:
  699.         
  700.              As a convenience to those without modems or to
  701.         those with modems who don't want to download nearly 2MB
  702.         of existing magazines, back issues are available on
  703.         diskette.  The content is freeware but diskettes,
  704.         postage, packaging, and handling isn't. To get it free
  705.         one has to obtain it from the multitude of no-charge
  706.         BBSs that carry it.  Around 1,500 distributors exist
  707.         worldwide but the most common places are any SDN BBS
  708.         (there are about 400 SDN BBSs worldwide); any BBS that
  709.         carries the latest PC-SIG CD ROM (disk #s 2121, 2260,
  710.         2390, 2749, 2750, 2753);  BIX (IBM.UTILS filearea); or
  711.         GEnie (IBMPC RT Applications library). Search for the
  712.         filename pattern, DBATE*.*.  As of this date, all of
  713.         these carry the existing 8 issues.  PC-SIG has or will
  714.         shortly release issues 7-8.  If you use Internet, you
  715.         can obtain the files through anonymous ftp access from
  716.         wuarchive.wustl.edu from the directory
  717.         /archive/doc/publications/ShareDebate.  Login as
  718.         'anonymous' and your complete e-mail address as your
  719.         password.  A complete ftp sample script is available
  720.         from Applied Foresight.

  722.            Pre-existing subscriptions or future subscriptions
  723.         ordered on the basis of information in old copies of
  724.         the magazine will be honored and those subscribers will
  725.         be sent the future number of S.I. issues that they
  726.         ordered, and if their order included getting back
  727.         issues, they'll be sent too.

  729.            Otherwise, S.I. orders are only solicited for
  730.         current year and back issue copies (for most persons,
  731.         obtaining the back issues on diskette will be cheaper
  732.         than your phone/computer charges to download all back
  733.         issues). What you will be paying for is not the content
  734.         of the magazines, but the packaging, shipping, time and
  735.         costs incurred.  Your costs will vary depending upon
  736.         (a) your country location and (b) the quantity ordered.
