  7.     SmartPics is over 2,000 professional clip art images. The program is
  8.     for Windows, and you can use these in any application.
  9.  
  10.     Lotus SmartPics requires approximately 12MB of hard disk space for a
  11.     full installation. You can install only those of the 38 symbol files
  12.     that you require. Lotus uses a special format with an extension of
  13.     SYI. You can install SmartPics as a stand alone unit, or on a
  14.     network. After installation on a server, you install SmartPics on a
  15.     network node by running Install from the server's hard disk.

  17.     When you choose an image the browser converts it to one of the three
  18.     standard image formats supported by the Windows Clipboard: Windows
  19.     Metafile (WMF), Device Independent Bitmap (DIB), or BMP.

  21.     The browser from SmartPic can be run in two modes. You can access it
  22.     from the Program Manager in normal mode, or you can access it from
  23.     within applications that support OLE.

  25.     In manual mode you would select the image, then click on copy which
  26.     places it in the clipboard. Return to your application and select
  27.     Paste to insert the graphic.

  29.     To use OLE you should refer to the application's documentation for
  30.     the exact steps. In many cases you would select Edit Insert Object.
  31.     This will display the Lotus SmartPics OLE browser. Click on the
  32.     symbol you want, and click OK to insert the image into your
  33.     document.

  35.     SmartPics for Windows includes a SmartIcon and macros that allow you
  36.     to access the browser directly with a single mouse action from Lotus
  37.     1-2-3 and Ami Pro.

  39.     Some of the groups included are: business People, Military, Food,
  40.     Cartoons, Graphic Tools, Seasonal, Religious, Sports and many
  41.     others. The files are varied and should  fit in anywhere that
  42.     graphics are used.
