  8.                       PREMIUM 386C WITH 386 TO THE MAX
  9.

  11. PROBLEM:       When installing "386 To The Max" on a Premium 386C the system
  12.                will hang during the second stage of the optimization process.
  13.                At this point there is no response from the keyboard and the
  14.                system must be rebooted.  As a result the software does not
  15.                complete the installation.  The BIOS version that demonstrates
  16.                the conflict is 3.01.

  18. AFFECTED
  19. SYSTEMS:       AST Premium 386C.
  20.  
  21. CAUSE:         Engineering has determined this to be a BIOS conflict with the
  22.                software.
  23.  
  24. SOLUTION:      BIOS version 2.30 part number 500702-001 resolves the issue.
  25.                This is a downgrade in BIOS versions and will only function on
  26.                a Premium 386C motherboard part number 202184-001.
