  8.                    PREMIUM EXEC 386SX/20 AND BATTERY WATCH

  11. PROBLEM:       When using a Microsoft PS/2 mouse connected to a Premium Exec
  12.                with MS-DOS 5.0 and Battery Watch software, the mouse cursor
  13.                will behave erratically when using the mouse in applications
  14.                such as the MS-DOS Shell, Central Point PC Shell, etc.
  15.  
  16. CAUSE:         This problem is caused by a conflict between Battery Watch and
  17.                the Premium Exec keyboard controller.
  18.  
  19. AFFECTED
  20. SYSTEMS:       Premium Exec systems shipped with the Traveling software
  21.                Utilities disk (part number 910413-032).
  22.  
  23. SOLUTION:      AST Portable Systems Engineering has determined that Battery
  24.                Watch will not be upgraded to resolve this problem.  As a work
  25.                around, AST suggests either attaching the mouse to the serial
  26.                port using the appropriate PS/2-serial adapter or removing
  27.                Battery Watch from the systems AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
