  8.                      AST SYSTEMS WITH DPTDDL.SYS DRIVER
  9.

  11. PROBLEM:       When loading the DPTDDL.SYS driver for the DPT hard disk
  12.                controller the following error message is displayed:
  13.  
  14.                "Warning: SCSI BIOS ROM version is later than the driver
  15.                version".
  16.  
  17. AFFECTED
  18. SYSTEM:        All AST systems.
  19.  
  20. CAUSE:         The DPTDDL.SYS provided by AST only supports SmartRom version
  21.                prior to revision "C".
  22.  
  23. SOLUTION:      If the DPT HBA (Host Bus Adapter) PM2012 has revision "C" or
  24.                later of the SmartRom then the DPTDDL.SYS required can be
  25.                downloaded from DPT Bulletin Board Service (B.B.S.), telephone
  26.                number 407-831-6432.
