  8.                        AST SYSTEMS WITH IBM'S OS/2 EE
  9.

  11. PROBLEM:       When installing IBM's OS/2 Extended Edition 1.30.1 on an AST
  12.                system, the following error will occur:
  13.  
  14.                    "Invalid Configuration"
  15.                    [50.09] diskette drives or types mismatch error.  Run
  16.                    setup...  Press F1 key to continue or Ctrl-Alt-Esc for
  17.                    setup.
  18.  
  19.                The above error indicates that the system configuration is
  20.                lost and setup must be performed for the system to boot
  21.                properly.

  23. SYSTEMS
  24. AFFECTED:      All AST systems
  25.  
  26. SOLUTION:      This is not an issue that AST can resolve.  The problem has
  27.                been corrected by IBM.  Customers experiencing this problem
  28.                should contact IBM at (800) 237-5511 and ask for either CSD
  29.                5016 or APAR JR04280.  To insure proper installation of the
  30.                CSD or APAR, customers should follow the process outlined by
  31.                the IBM readme files.
