  8.                 PREMIUM EXEC 386SX/20 AND XIRCOM MULTIPLEXOR

  11. When the Xircom Ethernet adapter is used with the Xircom Multiplexor attached
  12. to the Exec 386SX/20 parallel port, the following error message will be
  13. displayed when attempting to connect to the Network:
  14.  
  15.     "Adapter not found or power is off"
  16.  
  17. This problem occurs only on the following Premium Exec motherboards:

  19. Part Number         Revision Level
  20.  
  21. 202390-001          X17 or below
  22. 202390-002          X3  or below
  23.  
  24. The revision level can be found on a label affixed to the motherboard and is
  25. clearly visible after removing the Accessory Door.
  26.  
  27. Customers experiencing this failure should contact AST or an authorized AST
  28. Service Provider for arrangements to have the unit exchanged.
