  7. This is to all searchers of military retirees: The Privacy Act of 1974 
  8. prevents the arbitrary release of names and addresses, but each service 
  9. operates a locator service, and will for- ward any correspondence. On one 
  10. envelope write the grade and name of the person in the address block and 
  11. your return address in the normal corner. Stamp the envelope and enclose 
  12. your message. Insert this en- velope into another with your return address 
  13. and addressed as below. Use the retiree's  first, middle if known, last 
  14. names. Include for the locator service a data sheet with as much as 
  15. possible, service back- ground, grade, duty stations, SSAN, schooling, 
  16. etc., with known dates.

  18. Send this package to one of the following:

  20. Army: Army Reserve Personnel Center, ATTN: DARP-PAS-EVS, 9700 Page Blvd., 
  21. St. Louis, MO, 63132-5200.

  23. Navy: Commanding Officer, Naval Reserve Personnel Center, Code 41, New 
  24. Orleans, LA, 70149-7800. Do NOT put return address on envelope to be 
  25. forwarded.
