  12.         within documents printed to disk from within Windows 3.1.

  14.     *  Printer related funtions (downloading, printing, etc.) are
  15.         unavailable if running FONTEDIT in a Windows 3.1 DOS session on a
  16.         network.

  19.         -  Converting a font from fixed width to proportional had corrupted
  20.             character widths & heights.
  21.         -  Could not read certain fonts with short headers.

  35. New things in Version 2.1:

  38.     *  Preserves font file's date & time if no editing changes are made.
  39.  
  40.     *  Four guidelines (baseline, x-height, M-height, and p-height) are now
  41.         displayed for each character of portrait fonts when not in zoom
  42.         mode.

  44.     *  The font's filename (without drive or path) is now displayed in the
  45.         lower right corner of a VGA display.
  46.  
  47.     *  New functions added:
  48.         -  The editing area of a character can be automatically expanded up
  49.             to the maximum number of rows & columns allowed by the cell width
  50.             & height. The editing area can also be trimmed back to its
  51.             minimum size. This can be done for individual letters or
  52.             font-wide.
  53.         -  Individual pixels can be toggled on or off with a mouse when in
  54.             Row/Col Insert/Delete mode.
  55.         -  Any combination of up/down/left/right can now be used in the
  56.             bolding and thinning algorithms, rather than 1 pixel in all
  57.             directions.
  58.         -  Default filenames are supplied when importing from graphics files
  59.             or other font files.
  60.         -  When a mouse is present, arrow keys and ENTER now can also be
  61.             used to navigate around a pick list and choose.
  62.         -  During pixel edit, the Home and End keys can be used to move the
  63.             mouse or crosshairs to the upper left corner or lower right
  64.             corner of the character.
  65.         -  When starting FONTEDIT, if the letter "A" is not defined in the
  66.             font, the next higher ASCII value in the font will be displayed
  67.             instead.
  68.         -  The arrow keys can be used to change what character is displayed.
  69.             The ASCII value will be scrolled up or down.
  70.         -  The resize option can now be performed font wide. Every character
  71.             will be resized by the same number of pixels, and the pixel
  72.             change can be set independently for horizontal and vertical.
  73.         -  Arrow keys are handled differently while resizing a character
  74.             (either a single character or font wide). The arrow keys cannot
  75.             be used to reduce the size of a character to fewer than 5 rows or
  76.             5 columns. Also, the blinking box will not wrap to the minimum
  77.             size if attempting to resize beyond the cell box.
  78.         -  Alt-d and Alt-p now work with the Caps Lock key on.
  79.         -  When pasting from FONTEDIT's clipboard, the image can also be
  80.             ANDed with the character underneath.

  82.     *  Bug fixes:
  83.         -  Mouse moves more smoothly if continuously holding down a mouse
  84.             button while setting or clearing groups of pixels.
  85.         -  Bolding algorithm didn't work when a character had 3 or fewer
  86.             rows or columns.
  87.         -  When resizing a character or changing a font's point size, the
  88.             old character wasn't always completely erased when it had a
  89.             negative left offset.
  90.         -  The row expansion value wasn't correctly calculated for some cell
  91.             heights when no mouse is used.
  92.         -  The message "Quitting FONTEDIT. Are you sure?" didn't get erased
  93.             if you aborted quitting immediately after deleting a character.
  94.         -  No longer crashes if importing more than 1 character from a TIFF
  95.             image wider than 638 pixels.
  96.         -  Now makes a backup file even if SHARE.EXE is loaded.
