  5.       PURPOSE:
  6.               The "erase" command deletes specified files.  Be
  7.               aware however that once you have erased a file from
  8.               your disk you cannot recover it.
  9.

  11.       NOTE:
  12.            When using the erase command, "erase" can be substituted
  13.            with "del" if you so desire.
  14.

  16.       COMMAND:        USAGE:
  17.  
  18.       erase *.*       Deletes all the files in the working
  19.                       directory.  The screen then shows the
  20.                       question:
  21.                                Are you sure?
  22.                      Type Y (for yes) to delete the files or N to
  23.                      cancel the command.

  27.       OTHER EXAMPLES:
  28.                      To erase a file named "paycheck" type:

  30.                                 erase paycheck
  31.  
  32.                      To erase a file named "paycheck.txt" type:

  34.                                 erase paycheck.txt

  37.                     If you want to delete all the rest of the files
  38.                     that begin with the name "paycheck" and include
  39.                     extentions, such as "paycheck.may" or "paycheck.jun"
