  4. Remodel Estimator does not require files and buffers statements in your
  5. Config.sys file. However, in order to improve program execution speed and
  6. maximum functionality of Help screens, it is recommended to have the
  7. following two lines in your Config.sys file that should reside in the root
  8. directory of your computer. These two lines are:
  9. files = 20
  10. buffers = 24
  11. Use Edlin or a text processor to add these lines to your Config.sys file.

  13. Undocumented features.
  14. 1/31/91. Manhour and cost data fields precision.
  15.    These fields are now expressed to four decimal places to improve accuracy
  16.    of computed amounts.Example: WAS -> 2764.265     NOW -> 2764.2652
  17. 2/6/91. Added Phase-Division submenu for selection of reports
  18. 3/1/91. Estimate numbers can be 8 digits long alphanumeric characters
  19.    (User's Manual indicates 6 digits erroneously).
  20. 3/1/91. 'Assembly Multiplier'. Changed so that when the quantity is 1 or
  21.    unit is 'LOT', then the quantity will not be multiplied by the
  22.    multiplier.  The associated costs will also not be multiplied with the
  23.    multiplier (the manual erroneously indicates that the associated costs
  24.    shall be multiplied with the multiplier)
  25. 7/26/1991. Update program to Version 2.10
  26. 7/26/1991. Version 2.10. Data entry to character fields may be upper or
  27.    lower case.  All codes such as estimate number, costcode, trade code,
  28.    assembly code must be in upper case only.
  29. 7/26/1991. Version 2.10. Standard costcodes can be from 2 digits to 16
  30.    digits long alphanumeric characters, user-selectable. The selection is
  31.    made from Program Setup screen. System stores costcodes as 16 digit
  32.    alphanumeric but displays on screen and in reports based on user
  33.    selection.
  34. 9/26/1991. Update program version V2.60
  35. 9/26/1991. Add new expanded database BNI Costbook (213)202-7775.
  36. 9/26/1991. Add Utility feature called "Pack costcode deletions". Now a
  37.    costcode database deletion shall indicate the deleted item wit a **del**
  38.    prefix. From time to time the deleted items should be packed (i.e.
  39.    permanently deleted) from the database using the utility function.
