    Entering the filename of the data you wish to
    chart will send you to the graphics portion of
    Personal Stock Technician and plot the data.
    While in the graphics module, you can chart
    other data, perform technical analysis, compare
    two charts, plot data on your printer, etc.,...
    and, of course, return to the main menu.

    This feature allows you to rapidly update the
    entries in a data file manually.  You can always
    use a text editor to do this, but UPDATE A FILE
    is designed to be a fast, error free method for
    entering routine data.

    This screen lets you to rapidly update your
    file with current data.

    When entering the date, you must put a zero in front
    of the single digits, i.e. 02/02/91, NOT 2/2/91.
    Pressing enter at the end of each line moves you to
    the next data entry line.  F7 stores your updates
    to disk.  Don't worry, errors can be repaired later
    by choosing the the Editor at the main menu.

    Enter the name of the data file you wish to create.
    (CAUTION: If you enter the name of a file you already
    have, it will be over written!)  CREATE A FILE will
    then open a new file and ask you for the first data
    entry.  You can continue adding data, or save the file
    and go to UPDATE A FILE at the main menu.

    Choose the correct data type for the data you'll
    be entering. If you want to create a file that
    contains the high, low, close and volume of a stock,
    choose HILOCLOS.  For an issue which has only a
    closing price, choose SING.  For price and
    volume per record, choose CLOS.

    The file will then always be presented to you in
    the correct entry format, and will be graphed
    properly.

    This screen lets you to rapidly enter the first
    data of your new file. You can stop anytime and
    save your new file - then go to UPDATE A FILE to
    continue adding more data.

    This option gives you a quick look at the data by
    either printing to your screen or to your printer.

    If you want to do more with the file, just go to
    the EDITOR choice at the main menu and take
    advantage of your text editor's features.

    This feature lists all the data files you have
    on disk that are available for tracking, charting
    and technical analysis.

    Configure Program allows you to customize
    Personal Stock Technician to your preferences.
    You can change the plotting colors, turn off
    that annoying "beep", select the text editor
    of your choice, etc.

    You'll probably want to visit this option to
    install your favorite text editor. You must
    restart the program to activate any changes.

    Use MULTI-PLOT after you have chosen up to 10
    charts while you were in your PLOT A FILE session.

    While MULTI-PLOT is working your printer, you
    can go do something else!

    Note: Since plot files take up considerable disk
    space, MULTI-PLOT automatically deletes them from
    your disk when it is finished plotting them.

    This feature allows you to use the editor of
    your choice to edit your data files. If you
    are just updating your data and want to put
    the entries in rapidly, we suggest using the
    UPDATE A FILE choice at the main menu.
