  1. Hello to BBS sysops, disk vendors and user groups.

  3. This file is a "test drive" version of The Home and Business
  4. Legal Guide. We do not withhold the full program-- it is readily
  5. available from many BBS systems, (including ours) CIS, GENIE etc.
  6. You can also get the full 3 disk version from us directly. The
  7. only difference between the registered version and this version
  8. is the suppression of the opening registration reminder screen.

  10. Distribution permissions/requirements:

  12. BBS systems: No permission or notification required to carry our
  13. programs. Thanks for the help! If you run a not for profit BBS
  14. system, please contact us for details on our SYSOP fund raising
  15. plan! Please, please, please, please, do not rename our archives.
  16. Please use "guide755.xxx" where xxx is the extension of the
  17. archiver used. [The full 3 disk version is "Gde7551.zip;
  18. Gde7552.zip and Gde7553.zip or the appropriate archive extension]

  20. Non-profit user groups & computer clubs: No permission or
  21. notification is required to add us to your library! However, if
  22. you do tell us that you are carrying the program, we'll be glad
  23. to send you the updates.

  25. Commercial vendors: You must obtain our permission to distribute.
  26. This permission is routinely granted, even if you send a post
  27. card. We require permission so that we know you're out there and
  28. so that we can send you upgrades, as soon as they are tested! We
  29. constantly find vendors advertising YEARS OLD versions of this
  30. program (which is not good business for either of us!) who we
  31. have never heard of! Please (and it is the law <grin>) let us
  32. know that you want to carry the program and the latest version of
  33. the program will wing its way to you each time that it is
  34. updated.

  36. We reserve the right to revoke anyone's right to distribute the
  37. program. Have we ever done it??? Nope. However, it seems prudent
  38. to reserve the right to do so.

  40. BBS UPLOADING!!!!! Don't rename the files. Please use
  41. GUIDE755.ZIP or GUIDE755.XXX where the XXX equals the archive
  42. extension. Why?? So we can tell when we visit BBS systems (and we
  43. do frequently) if an update is needed. It does no one any good
  44. for us to both upload the same files under a different archive
  45. name to the same board.
