  6.      Welcome to BACK SOON! Version 1.5, the message-taking utility for
  7.   the busy home or office.  Here is the latest news and other important
  8.   information regarding the program.
  9.

  11.      USING BACK SOON! WITH OTHER PROGRAMS
  12.      
  13.      If you use WordPerfect 5.1, Quattro Pro 3.0 or 4.0, or WordStar 7.0, 
  14.   macros are provided on the program disk for automatically running Back 
  15.   Soon! from within these programs.
  16.   
  17.      Back Soon! is simple to use from within almost any program, with
  18.   or without a predefined macro.  Simply choose your applications "Shell
  19.   to DOS" command (this may be called something like "Run a DOS command"
  20.   or "Go to DOS") and specify Back Soon! as the command to be executed.
  21.   If your application sends you to the DOS command line, start Back Soon!
  22.   as you normally would, then type EXIT at the command line when you have
  23.   finished using Back Soon!  You'll be returned directly to your application.

  26.  Notes for Back Soon! Version 1.5:

  28.  Version 1.5 adds two major enhancements -
  29.  
  30.   - Music.  In addition to scrolling a message, Back Soon! v1.5 now
  31.     has the ability to play simple musical selections.  To activate
  32.     the music feature, add the switch "/u" to the command line at
  33.     startup.  The music files (extension .CM1) included on the
  34.     archive should be located in the Back Soon! directory.  When
  35.     the music feature is activated, Back Soon! will alternate scrolling
  36.     your message down the screen and playing, at random, one of the
  37.     musical selections included, until a key is pressed.

  39.   - User Menu.  After entering your message retrieval code, you now
  40.     have numerous options instead of simply reading your messages and
  41.     exiting the program.  You can simply check your messages and leave
  42.     Back Soon! running, temporarily go to DOS, change the scrolling
  43.     screen message, or toggle music on and off as well.
  44.     
  45.  Version 1.1 adds two minor features -
  46.  
  47.   - the scrolling message now is displayed within a box, instead
  48.     of a bunch of ragged lines
  49.   
  50.   - the message nows scrolls faster if you're using an MDA or
  51.     Hercules video mode (monochrome monitors are usually more
  52.     susceptible to phosphor burn-in)

  55.  On-line registration via CompuServe

  57.  You can now register Back Soon! on-line via CompuServe.  The registration
  58.  fee of $20 will be added to your CompuServe bill.  To register, type GO 
  59.  SWREG at any prompt.  Register the program under ID# 229.

  65. The MIRROR program, when loaded as a TSR, conflicts with Back Soon!
  66. Most often this manifests itself as a loud continuous tone when trying
  67. to enter a message, after which the Back Soon! locks up.

  69. A solution to this problem is to unload MIRROR just prior to starting
  70. Back Soon!  Use the command

  74. You must make sure that MIRROR is the last TSR to be loaded, and be sure
  75. to re-load MIRROR after exiting Back Soon!
