  16.         Exit Windows and start the program SETUP from the windows directory,
  17.         choose at DISPLAY "Others", insert the new disk in the corresponding
  18.         drive and press RETURN. Now follow the instructions, given by the
  19.         Windows SETUP program.

  24.         Only if you use now the standard VGA driver:
  25.         Start Windows and choose at the Program Manager:
  26.                         PROGRAM-RUN
  27.         and type B:\V7SETUP.

  34.         With the utility SPEAdometer the performance of your graphics
  35.         board can be increased up to 60% - depending on the processor
  36.         of the graphics board.

  38.         Almost all graphics boards manufacturers use a default clock
  39.         rate that is in a secure area, so that the graphics board
  40.         functions properly even when the system environment is not
  41.         optimal (e.g.
  42.         temperature dependency, outside specifications).

  44.         With the SPEAdometer the most suitable clock rate for your
  45.         individual system configuration will be
  46.         established.
  47.         It is possible to optimize the system automatically as well
  48.         as manually.

  54.         1) Changing the refreshrate is only possible with the utility
  55.         clmode.exe. This program will be installed, if you choose the
  56.         installation option UTILITIES to the directory
  57.                         C:\SPEA\GDC
  58.  
  59.         2) While installing the Windows drivers, you may be prompted for the
  60.         "V7-MERCURY PRO Driver for Windows disk" and the drive A:\ will be
  61.         displayed. When this happens, enter "B:\" if this diskette is in the
  62.         B: drive.
  63.         If "Problem with disk drive A:" message is displayed, and the
  64.         installation disk is in drive B, press ESC twice,  and re-enter "B:"
  65.         in the space provided.
  66.         This is a Microsoft installation bug.

  68.         3) Installing graphical drivers for Windows and Virus Check Programs
  69.         Virus check programs, such as the DOS 6.0 internal one, witch search
  70.         for changes at *.exe and *.com files, may detect after installing the
  71.         SPEA V7 windows driver BigWin changes at the file win.com. This isn't
  72.         a virus, because while installing the driver, driver supplements
  73.         may be saved in this file.
