  1.       INSTALLATION GUIDE FOR OS/2 2.0 32-Bit 256 COLORS BLITTER DRIVER
  2.                    AND 16 COLORS NON-BLITTER DRIVER
  3.                    FOR CIRRUS LOGIC'S GD542X CHIPS

  6. Installing the 256 colors blitter driver:
  7. -----------------------------------------
  8. 1. Edit OS/2's config.sys file with the following settings
  9.  
  10.    set video_devices=vio_SVGA
  11.    set vio_SVGA=device(bvhvga,BVHSVGA)
  12.    device=%1:\os2\mdos\VSVGA.SYS
  13.  
  14. 2. Bring up a DOS full screen session, run Clmode utility to set monitor type,
  15.    then insert Cirrus Logic's driver diskette in drive A or B, 
  16.    type A:SVGA.EXE ON or B:SVGA.EXE ON to create a svgadata.pmi file
  17.  
  18. 3. Shutdown the system to boot up from the OS/2 2.0 Installation
  19.    Diskette, then ESC out of Diskette One to run cli25620.cmd
  20.

  22. Installing the 16 colors non-blitter driver:

  24. 1. Edit OS/2's config.sys file with the following settings.

  26.    add %1:\OS2\DLL\CLDSP; to the immediate right of LIBPATH=
  27.    set video_devices=vio_SVGA
  28.    set vio_SVGA=device(bvhvga,BVHSVGA)
  29.    device=%1:\os2\mdos\VSVGA.SYS

  31. 2. Bring up a DOS full screen session, run Clmode utility to set monitor type,
