  12. Note: This driver is only an accelerated graphic driver without hardware
  13.       video support.

  15. This driver supports 640x480 to 1280x1024 resolutions in 256 color mode and
  16. 640x480 to 1024x768 in 64k color mode.

  18. Please note that due to the installation method that Microsoft currently has
  19. chosen for the W32, the installation process is not as straightforward as we
  20. would have liked.  From the Control Panel display driver installation screen
  21. the user must select the OTHER button (not "Tseng Labs W32" which will be
  22. listed!).  If the user selects the "Tseng Labs W32" entry from the Models
  23. dialog box they will not get the Accelerated W32 drivers!   Detailed
  24. instructions are given below.  After successfully  installing and
  25. rebooting the driver and adapter, information can be viewed in the Display
  26. applet by selecting Change Display Type.  The new drivers ID string is
  27. "Tseng Labs Accelerated W32".  This ID string does not get written to the
  28. Models dialog box so the Other install option must always be used to select
  29. the Accelerated W32 drivers if they are not currently selected.

  31. The installation is straight forward and is described below as well as in the
  32. README.TXT distributed with the drivers.

  34. Install procedure:
  35. - Copy all created files onto floppy.
  36. - Start Win NT
  37. - Select "Other install option" do not select "Tseng Labs W32" entry
  38. from Models list:

  40.       - Select Control Panel
  41.       - Select Display
  42.       - Select Change Display Type
  43.       - Select Change
  44.       - Select Other
  45.       - Enter  Selected disk drive or type CD drive letter an path
  46.           \SPEA\INSTALL\STPLUS\NT when installing from media gallery
  47.       - Select OK
  48.           The "Tseng Labs Accelerated W32"  is highlighted:
  49.       - Select Install
  50.       - Select Yes
  51.           If you have installed the driver in the past you may select
  52.           to use the current drivers at this time.  In this case the
  53.           driver files will not be copied.
  54.       - Enter Path of OEM Display driver files or type CD drive letter
  55.         an path \SPEA\INSTALL\STPLUS\NT when installing from media gallery
  56.       - Select  Continue
  57.           The driver files are copied and installed.
  58.       - Select OK

  60.       - Select Restart Now  (to activate drivers)
