  30. A) Importend
  31. ============
  32. It is SPEA's objective to make the latest developments in our software 
  33. drivers available as soon as possible to users of the SPEA/V7 graphics 
  34. and multimedia products.
  35. For this reason this CD also contains selected beta versions of software 
  36. drivers and utilities in this subdirectory (apart from the officially 
  37. approved drivers released to production).
  38.  
  39. The Quality Assurance tests for these packages are currently in progress, 
  40. but could not be fully completed in time for the production of the CD. 
  41. Despite this, we have decided to make this software available to our 
  42. users as we believe that the advantages and improvements far outweigh 
  43. the known restrictions or insignificant bugs that the software could contain.
  44.  
  45. We therefore place the said software at your disposal, subject to the 
  46. following condition: support is not available the SPEA ExpertLine (Hotline), 
  47. nor can SPEA be held responsible for any circumstances arising from the use 
  48. of this software. The use of the software is at the sole risk of the user.

  50. As we are constantly working to improve our software, we are grateful for 
  51. any constructive criticism or comments as well as bug reports. Any bugs 
  52. found will be removed at the earliest opportunity.

  96. D) Notes and Known Restrictions:

  98. V7SETUP:

  100.   1) If you run Windows programs using a modem you should change
  101.   in SYSTEM.INI under title [CAR1K.DRV] the line CHIPSYNC=0 to
  102.   CHIPSYNC=1.
  103.  
  104.   2) During the first installation the driver will be installed with the
  105.   lowest possible refresh rate at the chosen resolution.
  106.   If you use a high-class multi-sync monitor and you choose a
  107.   resolution 1024x768 and above, synchronisation problems may occur.
  108.   To prevent this, please choose the resolution 640x480 to start with.
  109.   Afterwards you can test and change to the preferred resolution 
  110.   and refresh rate with the utility V7SETUP.

  112. BigWin95 Drivers:

  114.   1) The resolution 1280*1024 true color isn't supported for 
  115.      V7-MERCURY P-64 V with 4 MB memory.
