REGISTRATION
------------
It's just a demo...
-------------------
Maybe you've already noticed: This version is just a demo! That's
simply because the game is shareware and most people see no need to pay
the shareware fee once they've got the complete game.
Ok, so what's limited?
- The Story: You can play just a small part of the game. Remember: not
all puzzles in this demo can be solved! Most of them
require items not accessible to you in this demo.
- The interpreter: The interpreter included in the demo is similar to
the Kickstack 1.3 interpreter of the registered version.
However, the code for saving and restoring your game
position and the script-function has been removed from
the binary.

Please read this!
-----------------
Maybe I should tell you something about myself... The reason why I'm
still writing Interactive Novels is that I don't like the games of the
last few years. The graphical adventures are too restricted; I cannot
see my surroundings the way I want to see them, I can only use those
few icons on the screen, and it's always the pixel-hero who lives the
story, not me. I think, such games are as boring and deadening as TV.
I can only watch it, yes, I can control the story, but I cannot FEEL
THE STORY. It's a pity that these games are dead now.
I never had the chance to enjoy the "good old" times. I was born in
October 1975, thus I'm 18 now (1994). I got my first computer in the
summer of '88 - when I was 12 years old.
1989, Infocom was closed down. This was the end of the commercial
textadventures, but for me, it was just the beginning. "Arthur - The
Quest for Excalibur" was the first game of this genre I've ever
bought (1990).
As you can see, I've never enjoyed the "golden times". All I can do
now is trying to get back a piece of the past. I'd like to become to
you what Infocom was to the computer players when it still existed.
To reach this aim, I need YOUR support. I KNOW that there are enough
people who are still interested in these games. If you still find this
genre enjoyable, PLEASE REGISTER! Only this way you can show me - the
programmer - that these games still have a future - if not in commercial
business, then as shareware.
I'm counting on you.

And what do you get when you register?
--------------------------------------
The complete game, of course! There's also a special interpreter for
Amiga-OS 2.0 and later on the disk which allows you to set screenmode,
colors and font as you like it. Along with the game come - just like in
the good, old Infocom times - some "goodies", such as the "Legends And
Lores of the Grasslands" and "The Legend of Lightbringer". And you'll
need them all to finish the game!
If there's no hidden bug in the program, the game should run on any
Amiga with at least 1 MByte RAM and Kickstart 1.3.
And how much does it cost?
--------------------------
Registration costs DM 20,-- inside Germany, DM 25,-- outside Germany,
postage included.
Please only send banknotes, D-Mark if possible. Otherwise, send an
equivalent amount in your local currency. In this case, please MAKE
SURE that I'll get DM 25,-- for it here in Germany. However, PLEASE
SEND D-MARKS WHENEVER POSSIBLE. It'll be less trouble and less work
for me. (Your bank will exchange your money. Please, don't be too lazy
to go there).
Please write in your letter that you want "The Timeless Empire" for
"Amiga". That's simply because I want to write some more games, and want
to port them to other systems such as the ST.
