  1. Welcome to iUtils Beta  4/7/1997

  4. In this set are a few programs that I made while testing things out.
  5. I thought you might like them, because they are useful.
  6.  
  7. Mem.exe 
  8.     Shows you how much memory Windows is using in real-time
  9.     if you minimize it, it will show you how much memory Windows
  10.     is using together with the % used of your swapfile.
  11.     Watch them Numbers rise gradually by 10 Meg as you load 
  12.     Word 97!  I Use this because the speed up Windows95 I have
  13.     Set the Swapfile to 24Mb (Min) and defragged it with Norton
  14.     Speed Disk.  If you let windows manage its own swapfile,
  15.     Its still useful.

  17. Millenium.exe
  18.     Cool, but useless program!  Counts Down to the year 2000.
  19.     In Seconds, Hours, Minutes, its all there!  Now it actually
  20.     goes to 0 at the millenium (Grin)

  22. NLC.exe
  23.     Natural Language Clock.  Tells you the time as you would say
  24.     it.  Eg 10 to 3, 21 minutes past 2 etc.  Can be minimized to 
  25.     show Natural Language in the task Bar
  26.  
  27. Sheduler.exe
  28.     My favourite of all my test programs.  This one can be used for
  29.     many things.  The "Command To Execute" can be used just as 
  30.     Double clicking in Explorer.  EG c:\text.txt, which may hold
  31.     "Pick the Kids up"  set to go off at 15:50.  So you can 
  32.     minimize and forget about it, and at 10 to 4 you will be 
  33.     interupted by the text file saying PICK THE KIDS UP!

  35.     Double click Advanced options for more options.

  37.     You can use it for many things such as closing windows down,
  38.     running Scandisk etc.  
  39.  
  40.     You can run multiple copies set to different times.

  42.     My favourite command is:

  44.     CDPLAYER.exe /play e:\track01.cda
  45.     
  46.     Which plays Oasis Wonderwall at a predetermined time!

  48.     If you experience difficulties with long filenames, try
  49.     putting the file name in quotes, eg. "C:\l o n g d i r\app.exe"

  52. Cool!  So what do I need to run these programs?

  54.     You need Windows95 and the VB5 Runtime file:

  56.     MSVBVM50.dll  (not included because you can get it of a 
  57.               disc, and its 1.3Mb)
  58.     gauge32.ocx
  59.  
  60. Installation
  61. ~~~~~~~~~~~~
  62. No installation Necessary, just unzip and run the files.  I suggest
  63. using Winzip and using Check out.  -that will put them in a folder
  64. and create startmenu short cuts, Very Clever!

  68. website by downloading Winlogo (Beta) (http://winlogo.home.ml.org)
