  1. WebPasskey
  2. Ver 3.0 R3

  4. If you surf the web, you know what a pain it is remembering
  5. your different names and passwords for all the sites you visit.
  6. Wouldn't it be great to have a "passkey" that would open all
  7. the sites for you?
  8.  
  9. Well now there's WebPasskey! WebPasskey automatically captures,
  10. stores and enters your names and passwords for you. WebPasskey
  11. also automatically fills in virtually any web form including
  12. your name, address, phone, credit card and email.*
  13.  
  14. Demo Limitations
  15. ----------------
  16. WebPasskey Demo version gives you all the features of our regular
  17. version
  18. for a period of 30 days. The only difference is that it will show an
  19. opening screen reminding how many days are left. After the 30 days
  20. are up, you can still run the program and view your passwords.
  21. However, you won't be able to change any information or use the
  22. auto-capture or auto-linking features.

  26. - Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT
  27. - Internet Explorer or Netscape version 3 or greater. (*Some features
  28.   require Internet Explorer 4.0 or greater.)
  29. - 8Mb RAM
  30. - 2Mb Hard Disk space
  31.  
  32. Installation
  33. ------------
  34. Before starting the setup program, be sure to close all other
  35. running programs, especially Outlook 98.
  36.  
  37. Floppy Disk Installation
  38. ------------------------
  39. 1.  Insert the installation disk into any 3.5" floppy drive on your
  40.     computer.
  41. 2.  Select Start|Run then type A:\SETUP.
  42. 3.  The Setup program will lead you through the installation process
  43.     and ask where you would like to have WebPasskey installed.
  44.  
  45. Web Installation
  46. ----------------
  47. 1.  Download the WebPasskey file to a temporary directory on your
  48.     computer. This might be called SETUP.EXE, WPSETUP.EXE,
  49.     WP20DEMO.EXE or WP20DEMO.ZIP.
  50. 2.  If the installation file ends in .ZIP, use WinZip or a similar
  51.     program to unzip it to a temporary subdirectory.
  52. 3.  Select Start|Run then type C:\TEMP\SETUP. (Change  C:\TEMP to the
  53.     drive and subdirectory you downloaded it to and SETUP to the name
  54.     of the EXE that was downloaded or unzipped.)
  55. 4.  The Setup program will lead you through the installation process
  56.     and ask where you would like to have WebPasskey installed. After
  57.     it is installed, you can delete the files in the temporary
  58.     subdirectory.
  59.  
  60. Upgrading a Previous Version
  61. ----------------------------
  62. If you are upgrading from an earlier release of WebPasskey or a demo
  63. version, you can install the files into the same subdirectory as the
  64. old WebPasskey files. Your information will be saved. If the
  65. information you previously entered doesn't appear, use File|Merge
  66. With.
  67.  
  68. Un-installation
  69. ---------------
  70. To remove the WebPasskey, goto Start|Programs|WebPasskey| and select
  71. uninstall WebPasskey or goto Start|Settings|ControlPanel| and
  72. double-click the add/remove program icon then select WebPasskey. The
  73. uninstall program leave the data files with your usernames and
  74. passwords in case you want to install the registered version. If
  75. desired, you can delete these files manually.

  77. After Installation, please reboot your system so WebPasskey's un-
  78. install can remove all files.
  79.  
  80. Quick Start
  81. -----------
  82. If you are using Internet Explorer 4.0, just start browsing the web.
  83. WebPasskey will sense when you enter a password, store it and create
  84. a link to that page automatically.
  85.  
  86. If you are using another browser, first enter your passwords into
  87. WebPasskey. Then when you come to a web page that needs a password,
  88. right-click on the WebPasskey icon in the system tray and select
  89. "Create Link".

  91. With either browser, the next time you go to that web page,
  92. WebPasskey will enter your password for you automatically!
