  6. Product Scope 32 Bookmarks provides a combination of tools for keeping
  7. track of product, vendor, and customer information that is located on
  8. the Internet and on local storage drives.

  22. These are just some of the tasks you can perform after entering the
  23. appropriate information:

  33. NOTE: If upgrading from Version 3.1 or 3.2, do NOT install the
  34. Example data files during the install program, and backup
  35. PATHS.TPS data file as a precaution before completing install.

  37. In addition, you can keep your product, vendor, and customer
  38. information stored in multiple subdirectories for even greater
  39. flexibility.

  41. Product Scope 32 Bookmarks V3.5 Two versions - Viewer and Unlimited
  42. Editing.
  43.  
  44. The Viewer version contains most of the features of the Unlimited
  45. Editing version, but editing capabilities are restricted. For example,
  46. up to 4 product records can be created and EDITED with the Viewer
  47. version per directory. You can change to a known empty subdirectory,
  48. and create more, but the limitations per directory are only removed
  49. with Unlimited Editing registration.

  51. When you change to a data directory which exceeds the editing
  52. restrictions, the program turns into a View only mode.
  53.  
  54. The unlimited editing version includes an Import/Export program.
  55.  
  56. The product, itself, (Product Scope 32 Bookmarks) CANNOT be bundled
  57. with any other product commercial or non-commercial without prior
  58. permission from Encourager Software. Normal shareware distribution
  59. (BBS/Vendors) is permissible if file is clearly labeled/categorized as
  60. shareware!

  79. The Link on the Browse Products - File Downloads window (or product 
  80. update form) is tied to the File Download Link field on the General
  81. 2 Tab of the Product Update Form, and will launch your browser and 
  82. download the file stored in the File Download Link field.

  87. The Link on this browse is tied to the Local Files Link field on the 
  88. General 2 Tab of the Product Update Form, and clicking on it will 
  89. begin the process of installing* the file with the file name stored
  90. in the Local Files Link field.

  92. Installing* - This link is for self-extracting files and Zipped files
  93. that contain installation programs.

  96. PDF Files Browse

  98. PDF Files - A number of companies release their product information
  99. in a format called Adobe Acrobat(R). The extension for these files
  100. is .PDF.

  102. Local storage PDF file location is stored in the PDF Link field on
  103. the General Tab of the Product Update Form. When the PDF button on
  104. the PDF browse is clicked, it will launch the Adobe Acrobat(r) Reader
  105. with a PDF file.

  108. Associate Product Prices with International Currencies
  109.  
  110. Three new fields have been added to the Pricing Tab section: Currency 
  111. Code - Price 1, Currency Code - Price 2, Currency Code - Price 3.

  113. Users or Vendors can now associate International currency codes (ISO 
  114. 4217) with product prices.
  115.  
  116. ISO 4217 currency codes are ISO Standards for Currency Names - 3 
  117. Character Code associated with currency name
  118.  
  119. These currency codes can be displayed on the Browse Products and Browse 
  120. Products with Memos windows and in reports.

  134. NEW Text Only Buttons

  136. In order to simplify use of the program, most image on buttons have been
  137. changed to Text Only buttons. This also provides more consistent use of 
  138. <Alt> + key combinations as well.

  140. Product Image File
  141.  
  142. The product image file field in this latest update of the program is now
  143. saved as a local directory filename only - NO path information. To 
  144. display the Product Image File correctly, product image files must be 
  145. located in the current local directory and the local directory filename 
  146. only with no path information must be entered in the Product Image File 
  147. field. This was changed to add greater versatility to exchanging product 
  148. data files and increase the usefulness of the Profile Exchange concept 
  149. Encourager Software has developed.

  151. The current local directory is displayed in the Main Window Titlebar:
  152. ie: Product Scope 32 Bookmarks  - C:\Program Files\PS32

  155. If you have previously saved the product image file with path 
  156. information, you must delete the path information before the product
  157. image file will display correctly in this V3.2 update.

  161. Delete  "C:\Program Files\PS32 BookMarks\Example Data\"

  163. Only ps32book.gif filename should be stored in the Product Image File

  166. You can manually delete the path information on previously saved records 
  167. or use the Product Image lookup button, locate and select the Product 
  168. Image file.

  172. New Copy Features on Browse Windows

  174. Copy button - Copy with Edit: Copy the highlighted record, and open the 
  175. copied record for editing.

  177. Copy - Popup Menu Choices

  179. Copy - To copy a highlighted record in a browse, and not open the copied 
  180. record for editing, use this popup menu choice.

  186. available on the Vendors Browse with Memo window or the Customers Browse

  190. Vendors data file to the Customers data file, use the copy button on 
  191. this browse.

  204. When the cursor is in the date field, pressing these keys can quickly 
  205. set the date. Here are some examples.

  213. Global Calendar

  215. By pressing F6, or clicking on the Global Calendar icon on the toolbar,
  216. this calendar is available anywhere in the program. In addition, you can 
  217. paste a date to any text field in any update form.

  220. Lookup HTML buttons improved (Product, Vendor, and Customer Update 
  221. Forms).

  223. Clicking on one of these buttons, and the local data directory file 
  224. dialog will always be displayed.

  226. In version 3.1, clicking on an HTML button and then pressing the escape 
  227. key, or clicking on cancel would result in the field's information being 
  228. erased. Information is retained in V3.2 until you make another choice 
  229. through the file dialog, or manually type it in.

  242. The Choose/Create Path - Path Management of the main program is now used 
  243. with import / export. This is a very powerful feature enabling you to 
  244. easily view and create data in multiple directories.

  247. Memo or Narrative field shown on Browse Product window.

  249. Choice of using Menubar (pulldown menus) or toolbar choices.

  251. Import - For testing purposes, a set number of records can be imported.

  254. particular field with their own choice of text (or date).
