  1. Synths may send sysex data in various formats.  If your synth uses
  2. a special format you must use the FILE FORMAT cycle gadget (at the top
  3. of the window) to indicate which format it is using.  This is necessary
  4. because the file will have to be converted to the standard format before
  5. it can be used.

  7. This KEYBOARD gadget allows you to try out the different file format
  8. conversion routines.  Whenever the KEYBOARD is displaying, you are
  9. looking at the raw sysex data that was sent from your synth.  Whenever
  10. the DECODED image is displaying, you are looking at the sysex file after
  11. it has been converted by the routine specified in the FILE FORMAT cycle
  12. gadget.

  14. Use of the QUESTION MARK gadgets which calc the NAME and BANK fields
  15. will require that the sysex data be converted.

  17. Use of the QUESTION MARK gadget which calcs the CHKSUM and DATA offsets
  18. will require that the sysex data be coded (in the format sent by your
  19. synth).
