  40. This distribution is described in the files ending with .txt.  You
  41. should read install.txt before starting to install LaTeX.

  43. Here is a brief description of some of these files:

  47.  * install.txt describes how to install LaTeX.

  49.  * manifest.txt lists all the files in the LaTeX distribution
  50.    with one line information about their contents.

  52.  * unpacked.txt lists all the files in the unpacked LaTeX distribution.

  54.  * legal.txt describes the LaTeX copyright, warranty and copying
  55.    restrictions.

  57.  * bugs.txt describes how to submit a bug report for LaTeX.

  59.  * patches.txt describes the update policy and how important changes
  60.    will be distributed between release dates.

  67. You will probably need to update your system before you can typeset
  68. these files.  Each file needs three LaTeX runs.
