How to install PasTeX from CD-ROM?
For a first test of TeX, you don't have to copy any file
from CD-ROM to your hard disk. Simply start "TeXShell".
All assigns needed will be set and a Shell window with the
appropriate search path will open where you can start
TeXing. When you are finished, close the Shell window and
start "Shutdown" to remove the assigns.
If you want use TeX more often, start the "Install.HD" script.
This script needs the Commodore Installer. The "Install.HD"
script copies all needed programs/files to your hard disk.
But you don't have to copy all pk-fonts on your hard disk.
If you use fontcaching, ShowDVI/DVIprint will copy all
'really' needed fonts to your hard disk.
Happy TeX'ing,
