  6. This is a port of an X11 program called Xv (v3.10a) by John Bradley.
  7. This is version 2.15.

  10.       The xv program displays images in the GIF, JPEG, TIFF, PBM, PGM, PPM,
  11.       X11 bitmap, Utah Raster Toolkit RLE, PDS/VICAR, Sun Rasterfile, BMP,
  12.       PCX, IRIS RGB, XPM, Targa, XWD, PhotoCD, possibly PostScript, and PM 
  13.       formats on workstations and terminals running the X11 Window System.

  17.   Recent changes in the mui part of libX11 wasn't reflected in the 'old' xv source..
  18.   so the color window produced a huge amount of enforcer hits..
  19.   The 'lock screenmode' entry were missing.
  20.   SAS optimizer generated a bug in tiff saving..
  21.   Saving filename behaved somewhat odd. Now new filename gets the old save directory in front.

  26.   When using pubscreen images was forced into 8 bit mode and consequently

  42. This program uses MUI! So it is safe to assume that you should have it
  43. installed before you try to run Xv! (2.2+ as found on aminet)
