  5. Canasta is being released as shareware.  Copies may be
  6. distributed by BBSes, FTP sites, CD-ROMs, disk vendors, etc..., with
  7. the following conditions:

  9. - The following files must all be present together, and unmodified when
  10.   distributed:

  12.   CANASTA.EXE     - Canasta program file
  13.   CANASTA.HLP     - Canasta help file
  14.   HISTORY.TXT     - Version history of canasta
  15.   FILE_ID.DIZ    - Brief description of the document for BBS use
  16.   LICENSE.TXT    - License terms (this file)
  17.   REGISTER.TXT   - Registration form
  18.  
  19. - The following file may be excluded from the package, PROVIDED THAT IT IS
  20.   AVAILABLE FROM THE SAME LOCATION AS THE 'STRIPPED' PACKAGE:

  22.   BWCC.DLL     - Borland Windows Custom Controls file 
  23.  
  24. - When distributed inside a compressed file, the prefix of that file
  25.   should be CANAST12.
  26.  
  27. - The package should be listed under the name "Canasta 1.2 Windows cardgame"
  28.  
  29. - Vendors who have a copy which is dated more than 2 years should check
  30.   to see if there is a newer edition before distributing the document.
  31.  
  32. - Any vendor publication which lists CANASTA must clearly have an
  33.   explanation of the shareware concept.  This information must be
  34.   visible to customers before they pay a fee to the vendor.

  36. - The abstract in the FILE_ID.DIZ file contains text recommended
  37.   for use as a description for this package.

  39. - This document should not be bundled as part of another product
  40.   without permission.

  42. - CANASTA is copyrighted shareware.  It should never be classified as
  43.   public domain or free software.

  45. - License for the registered version is not transferable.

  47. - This package must not be rented or leased.

  49. - Those who benefit from the uses of CANASTA are expected to
  50.   register with the author.  Users are given a 14 day evaluation
  51.   period.  The registration form can be printed by typing
  52.   "COPY REGISTER.TXT PRN" at the DOS prompt.

  54. - Although it is not a requirement, those who publish a review of
  55.   this document are encouraged to send me a copy of the publication
  56.   containing the review.
