302Impetigo--Fairly common superficial infection caused by bacteria, staphylococci, streptococci, or both, that usually invade at the site of a skin abrasion, scratch, or an insect bite. Infection starts with a red sore that blisters briefly and then oozes during the next few days to form a thick crust.
