311Lentigo Maligna Melanoma--Most often afflicts elderly people. Occurs primarily on sunlight-damaged skin of the face or backs of the hands. Always preceded by lentigo maligna, a flat, tan-to-brown area that may exist for many years or decades before the cancerous cells begin to penetrate deeper into the skin.
