- GNU SuperOptimizer v2.2
- -----------------------
-
- The binaries of GNU SuperOptimizer (alias gso) was compiled and linked with
- GCC v2.3.3 PL1 and MiNTlibs PL30. They have been tested under MultiTOS v1.0
- (MiNT 1.0), and also with plain old TOS 2.06. They seem to work just fine on
- my setup, but I can't guarantee anything.
-
- The gso-binaries was compiled with the -mbaserel option, so they should be
- sharable under MiNT 0.96 (or later).
-
- If you read the README file you will notice that gso supports 9 different
- CPUs (68k, 68020, 88k, SPARC, RS/6000, AMD 29000, 80x86, Pyramid and Alpha)
- and a whole bunch of nice functions. Unfortunately the choice of CPU is a
- compile-time option which means you need one binary for _every_ CPU you wish
- to play around with. I figured the binaries for 68k and 68020 was the only
- ones worth including (since they each take some 45kb it would be a rather
- big archive if I included binaries for all 9 CPUs :-).
-
- See the README file for information on how to build your own binaries of gso
- and for general hints on how to use it and how to contact the author.
-
- Happy optimizing!
