  1. Here's a GRAPHICAL version of gnuchess for the Atari ST.

  3. I ported it from C to GNU C++ since all my graphical libraries are in C++.

  5. Please read the copyright notice (in the file 'copying').

  7. To play, you need the file "gnuchess.boo" (actually, it's called
  8. "gnuchess.book", but TOS Is Not Unix) to be in the same directory as
  9. "gnuchess.tos". Run gnuchess.tos, and click on the "i" button.
  10. Note that if you have the $HOME environment variable set, games are
  11. save to there rather than to the current directory (this is a bit
  12. odd, I agree, but that's how the original game worked).
