  1. Welcome to NewsDisk!  After reading   
  2. this, run NEWSDISK.PRG in high or     
  3. medium resolution and click on the    
  4. various text files to learn more about
  5. the program.

  7. This file is a late addition.
  8.  
  9. TITLEW.TXT contains ONE LINE of text  
  10. that will appear in the top line of   
  11. the display window.  If you do NOT    
  12. create this file, the line "NewsDisk -
  13. By Tom Bellucco" will be used.  I     
  14. recommend putting 2 blank spaces      
  15. before and after the line, for        
  16. example, "  NewsDisk - by Tom Bellucco
  17.  "
  18.  
  19. Remember, NewsDisk supports the       
  20. ShareWare concept.  If this program is
  21. of any use to you as an individual or 
  22. as a club, please send a donation to  
  23. Tom Bellucco, 52 Hamlin Street,       
  24. Rochester, NY  14615.  Those that send
  25. in donations will be sure to receive  
  26. any future updates.  I plan on adding 
  27. custom dialog boxes as soon as the GFA
  28. Companion is available.

  30. As a reminder (you'll see!), make sure
  31. each external program (.RUN file) has 
  32. its own .DOC file.  Also be sure to   
  33. create 2 title screens (high and med  
  34. res) and you might want to stick the
  35. word "Initializing..." somewhere in   
  36. the title screen.  It takes a little  
  37. while to scan the directory for all   
  38. the text files.

  40. Due to some re-draw problems, NewsDisk
  41. disables all desk accessories while it
  42. is running.  I apologize if this is an
  43. inconvenience and hope to have it     
  44. fixed in the next revision that       
  45. includes the custom dialog boxes.
