  1. Here are the diffs to compress version 4.2 patchlevel 4 (as distributed
  2. on comp.sources.reviewed) for the atari ST. Note that this version does
  3. not do any name manglingling as the previous 16 bit compress did, so
  4. you should run with UNIXMODE set to something decent and/or use minixfs
  5. under MiNT. It is significantly faster than the older ones. By default
  6. this port compiles with -DFAST, which results in an executable that needs
  7. close to a meg to run. if you want a smaller executable, use BITS==16
  8. and undef FAST. it will also be  slower if you do that.
