- The TELEBASE II Package!
- DEMO VERSION
- Copyright (c) 1990, 1991 Ray Mattera
- ------------------------------------
-
- Ever been working in your favorite word processor, data base or
- spreadsheet and suddenly remember there's an important phone
- call you need to make ... but you've forgotten the number! Well,
- NO MORE! With the new TELEBASE accessory, you can have access to
- hundreds of important phone numbers, addresses, notes, whatever
- you decide to input ... ANY TIME, ANYWHERE! And phone modem
- owners can have TELEBASE dial those numbers in just a mouse click!
- *There's no need to quit and go to a special program to get those
- numbers and notes!* Take some time and experiment with the demo
- and I believe you'll find TELEBASE an indispensable part of your
- total ST or TT system!
-
- To Install the TeleBase Demo:
-
- Copy TELEBASE.ACC and TELEBACC.RSC to the root directory of your
- boot drive, normally C:\*.* for hard disk users or A:\*.* for
- floppy disk users and reboot. If you use a utility such as
- ACC.PRG, copy both the TELEBASE.ACC and TELEBACC.RSC into the same
- folder. As a rule, then, always copy both files to the same folder
- or directory.
-

- Notes on the Demo:
-
- In order to make TELEBASE autosort its buttons, do the following:
- (1) Click on "INFO" on the main TeleBase interface, (2) Click on
- "The TELEBASE Accessory v2.0" so that it becomes white letters on
- a black background (looks selected), (3) Click "OK." Now whenever
- you ADD a new button, edit and ACCEPT an existing button, or
- DELETE an existing button, TeleBase will perform an auto-sort of
- all the buttons on its interface.
-
- All loading and saving features have been disabled, but you can
- still search and print TELEBASE 1.8 files, as well as get an
- overall feel of TeleBase's operation.
-
- ----------------------------------------
-
- TeleBase Specifications:
-
- The TeleBase accessory uses a total of about 143K of memory and
- MiniBase about 84K, which includes all the memory it needs to load
- and work with its files. TeleBase application and accessory files
- can be loaded interchangeably, but MiniBase's are currently in a
- separate file format.
-
- Notes to MultiDesk Deluxe Users:
-
- TeleBase requires that you reserve some memory when used as an MDX
- accessory for certain applications. Set your "Reserve Size" to
- about 80K, and the "MDX Buffer" to 64K, save it into Multidesk
- Deluxe's configuration and reboot. I've tried to make TeleBase as
- compatible as possible with MultiDesk Deluxe so in most cases it
- should work well, or warn if it can't get the memory it needs to
- load as an MDX acc. Generally, TeleBase operates best if loaded
- either as a normal GEM accessory, a normal MultiDesk accessory, or
- if loaded into MultiDesk Deluxe on the fly at the GEM or any
- alternate desktop environment.
