- QBBS ST Beta
-
-
- You use this program at your own risk, it is a beta version and
- anything could happen. We take no responsibilty for loss or damage
- how so ever caused wether directly or indirectly from the use of this
- program.
-
- It should not be made available for download from file areas on your
- BBS but you may pass it to other QBBS sysops if they ask you.
-
-
-
- 29/11/94
- ========
-
- If someone tries to enter the system but does not get the password
- right then when they log off the last-date for that user is NOT
- updated.
-
- Fixed the /NS no-sort option in the mail area lister.
-
- Added a new option to the mail area lister /FCn where 0>n<4 [1-3]
- which forces QBBS to display areas in 1, 2 or 3 columns, if set to 0
- or not defined at all then the column count is determined by the
- longest area name in each group.
-
- 1/12/94
- =======
-
- Removed the 'Welcome from QBBS development ....' message for new
- users.
-
- Added automatic writing of message to user if logon attempt fails due
- to wrong password.
-
- 3/12/94
- =======
-
- removed the part that locks QBBS up when there are no RS232 patches
-
- Added menu centering - activated by putting a '@' at the start of each
- line to centred. (only on menus that have parameters sent to them,
- which can never be the TOP.MNU)
- Note this was designed for variable length fields and not all the menu
- lines, strange things like extra lines will appear if used elsewhere.
-
- Added a new option to the file area lister /FCn where 0>n<4 [1-3]
- which forces QBBS to display areas in 1, 2 or 3 columns, if set to 0
- or not defined at all then the column count is determined by the
- longest area name in each file group.
-
- 4/12/94
- =======
-
- removed the bug where no accounting was done for uploads using
- external protocols, which in turn also fixed the bug that stopped
- uploaded files from having thier date stamps touched when selected in
- the config program.
-
- Added the download counter to the description of uploaded files
-
- 5/12/94
- =======
-
- Possibly fixed the nodelist search for *:*/0 nodes
-
- 6/12/94
- =======
-
- Removed the annoying 'Welcome back ...' after an exit with error level
- and subsequent return
-
- Fixed/cured/killed/removed/smashed/obliterated/mushed/crunched the
- 'Sysop error in batch file' bug after an aborted download/upload
-
- Utilised the transfer log as used in XYZ202?.* and GSZRZ that logs the
- succesful downloads of files, this means no more unaccounted
- downloads, also made sure it does the accounting even if files are
- downloaded and then carrier is dropped
-
- Added the users name to any uploads
-
- Made our name stand out in the Version screen :)
-
- Q. Do we really need inbuilt Z/X modem transfer protocols ? - the
- problem is the compiler is starting to choke on all the extra bits,
- and I could _really_ do with the extra space ...
-
- 11/12/94
- ========
-
- Fixed the Alt+D thing that removes the status bar and display, you can
- now use it to get it all back :) - when the display is blanked your
- keys do not affect the user.
-
- Altered the colours used on the option line when marking files from
- the almost unreadable cyan on white to blue on white. Also changed the
- the foregound/background used when listing marked files so it no longer
- looks all ragged at the right edge.
-
- 12/12/94
- ========
-
- Uploaded messages no longer added to users accounts as uploaded files.
-
- 23/12/94
- ========
-
- Fixed error when unmarking files during download routine when using
- external list. QBBS reported file unmarked but it wasn't really :-(
-
- Download counter switch in Qconfig is now read correctly.
- If download counter = NO then files.bbs is not amended with the users
- name after an upload nor is the counter put in next to the file
- description.
- If download counter = YES then after an upload the files.bbs will be
- amended with users name and also counter. After download the counter
- will be increased by one. [ 0.99999999984 on pentiums ]
- Qconfig will be amended later to reflect this change.
-
-
- ********** WARNING *************

- ========
-
- Changes to the format of the display when during Global search and
- Mark routine making it a little faster.
-
- 01/01/95 Happy New Year !
- ========
-
- Added command line switch -D which should be followed immediatly by a
- number usually 2 for screen (your nice Atari monitor).
- This will send untranslated ANSI to the port of your choice.
- It does not change what is sent to an online user.
- Use ANSI-ST and this command line for real ANSI colours locally.
-
- A usefull tip from GK of the USA...
- Falcon owning sysops should bear in mind that, in order for the ANSI
- to display properly on their computers in 16-color modes, they need
- to be sure that the colors are defined in the same manner as the IBM.
- They are reversed on the stock Falcon
-
- 05/01/95
- ========
-
- Menu Option 89 added
- This kills/deletes the Global Search and Mark file list.
-
- What ?
- If a user does a GSM then a temporary file is created in the oarc path
- that grows during each GSM. Option 89 kills the file.
- You can use this by either an explicit keypress or as an autoexec
- option called each time user selects GSM.
-
- 06/01/95
- =========
-
- Eliminated the 'E' and 'b7' seen locally at start up.
-
- More on Global Search and Mark ....
-
- Menu Type 35 is a Global Search and Mark
- Menu Type 89 kills temporary file list created by GSM
-
- Added Menu type 90
- Autoexecutes Menu type 89 followed by Menu type 35.

-
- 20/01/95
- ========
-
- Error with global search routine if user entered second time and searched
- for non-existant file is now fixed !
-
- The symbol @ was used internally and so if present in any files.bbs
- would cause problems with search routines.
- This is now changed to character 1
