  1. MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER, VERSION 4.0, AND SOFTWARE 
  2. RELATED COMPONENTS.
  3.  
  4. END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR MICROSOFT SOFTWARE
  5.  
  6. IMPORTANT-READ CAREFULLY:  This Microsoft End-User License 
  7. Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you (either an 
  8. individual or a single entity) and Microsoft Corporation for the Microsoft 
  9. software product(s) identified above which may include associated 
  10. software components, media, printed materials, and "online" or electronic 
  11. documentation ("SOFTWARE PRODUCT"). By installing, copying, or 
  12. otherwise using the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, you agree to be bound by 
  13. the terms of this EULA. If you do not agree to the terms of this EULA, do not 
  14. install or use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.  If the SOFTWARE PRODUCT 
  15. was purchased by you, you may return it to your place of purchase for a full 
  16. refund. 
  17.  
  18. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is protected by copyright laws and 
  19. international copyright treaties, as well as other intellectual property laws 
  20. and treaties. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is licensed, not sold.
  21.  
  22. 1.     GRANT OF LICENSE.  The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is licensed as 
  23.          follows:
  24.  
  25. * Installation and Use. Microsoft grants you the right to install and use 
  26. copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT on your computers running validly 
  27. licensed copies of the operating system for which the SOFTWARE 
  28. PRODUCT was designed [e.g., Windows(r) 95; Windows NT(r), Windows 
  29. 3.x, Macintosh, etc.].  
  30.  
  31. * Backup Copies.  You may also make copies of the SOFTWARE 
  32. PRODUCT as may be necessary for backup and archival purposes.  
  33.  
  34. * Components.  Certain software components of the SOFTWARE 
  35. PRODUCT are subject to the following additional provisions: 
  36.  
  37. DCOM95.  You may only use copies of the DCOM95 component on 
  38. computer(s) for which you have licensed Microsoft Windows operating 
  39. system platforms.
  40.  
  41. NetMeeting.  NetMeeting contains technology that enables applications to 
  42. be shared between two or more computers, even if an application is 
  43. installed on only one of the computers.  You may use this technology with 
  44. all Microsoft application products for multi-party conferences. For 
  45. non-Microsoft applications, you should consult the accompanying license 
  46. agreement or contact the licensor to determine whether application sharing 
  47. is permitted by the licensor.
  48.  
  49. Internet Assistants and Internet Viewers:  You may reproduce and distribute 
  50. an unlimited number of copies of these components of the SOFTWARE 
  51. PRODUCT; provided each copy shall be a true and complete copy, 
  52. including all copyright and trademark notices, and shall be accompanied 
  53. by a copy of this EULA.  Copies of these components may be distributed 
  54. as a standalone product or included with your own product.
  55.  
  56. Microsoft Agent. You may distribute Microsoft Agent and its associated 
  57. characters and speech engines in accordance with terms of a separate 
  58. end user license agreement.  See the "EULA.htm" file located at 
  59. http://www.microsoft.com/workshop/prog/agent/ for further details.
  60.  
  61. 2.     DESCRIPTION OF OTHER RIGHTS AND LIMITATIONS.
  62. * Maintenance of Copyright Notices.  You must not remove or alter any 
  63. copyright notices on all copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.
  64. * Distribution.  You may not distribute copies of the SOFTWARE 
  65. PRODUCT to third parties.
  66. * Prohibition on Reverse Engineering, Decompilation, and Disassembly.  
  67. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the SOFTWARE 
  68. PRODUCT, except and only to the extent that such activity is expressly 
  69. permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation. 
  70. * Rental.  You may not rent, lease, or lend the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.
  71. * Transfer.  You may permanently transfer all of your rights under this EULA, 
  72. provided the recipient agrees to the terms of this EULA.
  73. * Support Services.  Microsoft may provide you with support services 
  74. related to the SOFTWARE PRODUCT ("Support Services").  Use of 
  75. Support Services is governed by the Microsoft polices and programs 
  76. described in the user manual, in "on line" documentation and/or other 
  77. Microsoft-provided materials. Any supplemental software code provided to 
  78. you as part of the Support Services shall be considered part of the 
  79. SOFTWARE PRODUCT and subject to the terms and conditions of this 
  80. EULA.  
  81. With respect to technical information you provide to Microsoft as part of the 
  82. Support Services, Microsoft may use such information for its business 
  83. purposes, including for product support and development.  
  84. Microsoft will not utilize such technical information in a form that personally 
  85. identifies you.
  86. * Compliance with Applicable Laws.  You must comply with all applicable 
  87. laws regarding use of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.
  88.  
  89. 3.     TERMINATION.  Without prejudice to any other rights, Microsoft may 
  90. terminate this EULA if you fail to comply with the terms and conditions of this 
  91. EULA. In such event, you must destroy all copies of the SOFTWARE 
  92. PRODUCT.
  93.  
  94. 4.     COPYRIGHT.  All title, including but not limited to copyrights, in and to 
  95. the SOFTWARE PRODUCT and any copies thereof are owned by 
  96. Microsoft or its suppliers. All title and intellectual property rights in and to 
  97. the content which may be accessed through use of the SOFTWARE 
  98. PRODUCT is the property of the respective content owner and may be 
  99. protected by applicable copyright or other intellectual property laws and 
  100. treaties.  This EULA grants you no rights to use such content.  All rights not 
  101. expressly granted are reserved by Microsoft.
  102.  
  103. 5.     U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS.  The SOFTWARE 
  104. PRODUCT is provided with RESTRICTED RIGHTS. Use, duplication, or 
  105. disclosure by the Government is subject to restrictions as set forth in 
  106. subparagraph (c)(1)(ii) of the Rights in Technical Data and Computer 
  107. Software clause at DFARS 252.227-7013 or subparagraphs (c)(1) and (2) of 
  108. the Commercial Computer Software Restricted Rights at 48 CFR 52.227-19, 
  109. as applicable. Manufacturer is Microsoft Corporation/One Microsoft Way/
  110. Redmond, WA 98052-6399.

  112. 6.     EXPORT RESTRICTIONS.  You agree that you will not export or 
  113. re-export the SOFTWARE PRODUCT to any country, person, entity or end 
  114. user subject to U.S.A. export restrictions.  Restricted countries currently 
  115. include, but are not necessarily limited to Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, 
  116. Sudan, and Syria.  You warrant and represent that neither the U.S.A. Bureau 
  117. of Export Administration nor any other federal agency has suspended, 
  118. revoked or denied your export privileges.
  119.  
  120. 7.     NOTE ON JAVA SUPPORT.  The SOFTWARE PRODUCT may contain 
  121. support for programs written in Java.  Java technology is not fault tolerant 
  122. and  is not designed, manufactured, or intended for use or resale as on-line  
  123. control equipment in hazardous environments requiring fail-safe 
  124. performance, such as in the operation of nuclear facilities, aircraft navigation 
  125. or communication systems, air traffic control, direct life support machines, or 
  126. weapons systems, in which the failure of Java technology could lead directly 
  127. to death, personal injury, or severe physical or environmental damage.
  128.  
  129. 8.     NO WARRANTIES.  Microsoft expressly disclaims any warranty for the 
  130. SOFTWARE PRODUCT.  THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT AND ANY 
  131. RELATED DOCUMENTATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT 
  132. WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, 
  133. WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR 
  134. MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR 
  135. NONINFRINGEMENT.  THE ENTIRE RISK ARISING OUT OF USE OR 
  136. PERFORMANCE OF THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT REMAINS WITH YOU.

  138. 9.     LIMITATION OF LIABILITY.  To the maximum extent permitted by 
  139. applicable law, in no event shall Microsoft or its suppliers be liable for any 
  140. special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages whatsoever 
  141. (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business profits, business 
  142. interruption, loss of business information, or any other pecuniary loss) arising 
  143. out of the use of or inability to use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT or the 
  144. provision of or failure to provide Support Services, even if Microsoft has been 
  145. advised of the possibility of such damages. In any case, Microsoft's entire 
  146. liability under any provision of this EULA shall be limited to the greater of the 
  147. amount actually paid by you for the SOFTWARE PRODUCT or US$5.00; 
  148. provided however, if you have entered into a Microsoft Support Services 
  149. Agreement, Microsoft's entire liability regarding Support Services shall be 
  150. governed by the terms of that agreement. 
  151. Because some states and jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or 
  152. limitation of liability, the above limitation may not apply to you.
  153.  
  154. 10.     MISCELLANEOUS.
  155.  
  156. This EULA is governed by the laws of the State of Washington, U.S.A.
  157.  
  158. If you acquired this product in Canada, this EULA is governed by the laws of 
  159. the Province of Ontario, Canada. Each of the parties hereto irrevocably 
  160. attorns to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario and further 
  161. agrees to commence any litigation which may arise hereunder in the courts 
  162. located in the Judicial District of York, Province of Ontario. 
  163.  
  164. If this product was acquired outside the United States, then local law may 
  165. apply.
  166.

  223. PRODUCT" or "SOFTWARE"). By installing, copying or otherwise using 
  224. the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, you agree to be bound by the terms of this 
  225. EULA. If you do not agree to the terms of this Agreement, you are not 
  226. authorized to use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.

  253. Your rights under this EULA terminate upon the termination of your

  255. rights, Microsoft may terminate this EULA if you fail to comply with the 
  256. terms and conditions of this EULA. In such event, you must destroy all 
  257. copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.

  260. All title and copyrights in and to the SOFTWARE PRODUCT and any 
  261. copies thereof are owned by Microsoft or its suppliers. All title and 
  262. intellectual property rights in and to the content which may be accessed 
  263. through use of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT is the property of the 
  264. respective content owner and may be protected by applicable copyright 
  265. or other intellectual property laws and treaties. This EULA grants you 
  266. no rights to use such content.

  270. PRODUCT to any country, person, entity or end user subject to U.S.A.

  273. the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro, U.N. 
  274. Protected Areas and areas of Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina 
  275. under the control of Bosnian Serb forces). You warrant and represent 
  276. that neither the U.S.A. Bureau of Export Administration nor any other 
  277. federal agency has suspended, revoked or denied your export 
  278. privileges.

  280. 6.  NO WARRANTY. 
  281. ANY USE OF THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. 
  282. THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT IS PROVIDED FOR USE ONLY WITH 
  283. MICROSOFT OPERATING SYSTEM PRODUCTS. TO THE MAXIMUM 
  284. EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MICROSOFT AND ITS 
  285. SUPPLIERS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, 
  286. EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED 
  287. TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR 
  288. A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

  290. 7.  NO LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. 
  291. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN 
  292. NO EVENT SHALL MICROSOFT OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR 
  293. ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL 
  294. DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, 
  295. DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS 
  296. INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION, OR ANY 
  297. OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR 
  298. INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT, EVEN IF MICROSOFT 
  299. HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. 
  300. BECAUSE SOME STATES AND JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE 
  301. EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL 
  302. OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT 
  303. APPLY TO YOU.

  305. 8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. MICROSOFT'S ENTIRE LIABILITY 
  306. AND YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS EULA SHALL NOT 
  307. EXCEED FIVE DOLLARS (US$5.00).

  326. EULA, which includes computer software and may include associated media, 
  327. printed materials, and "on-line" or electronic documentation ("SOFTWARE 
  328. PRODUCT" or "SOFTWARE"). By exercising your rights to make and use copies 
  329. of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA. 
  330. If you do not agree to the terms of this EULA, you may not use the SOFTWARE 
  331. PRODUCT.

  333. SOFTWARE PRODUCT LICENSE

  352.     permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation.
  353. --  Restrictions on Alteration.  You may not rename, edit or create any 
  354.     derivative works from the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, other than subsetting 
  355.     when embedding them in documents.
  356. --  Software Transfer. You may permanently transfer all of your rights under 
  357.     this EULA, provided the recipient agrees to the terms of this EULA.
  358. --  Termination. Without prejudice to any other rights, Microsoft may terminate 
  359.     this EULA if you fail to comply with the terms and conditions of this EULA. 
  360.     In such event, you must destroy all copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT and 
  361.     all of its component parts.
  362.  
  363. 3.  COPYRIGHT. All title and copyrights in and to the SOFTWARE PRODUCT 
  364. (including but not limited to any images, text, and "applets" incorporated into the 
  365. SOFTWARE PRODUCT), the accompanying printed materials, and any copies of the 
  366. SOFTWARE PRODUCT are owned by Microsoft or its suppliers. The SOFTWARE 
  367. PRODUCT is protected by copyright laws and international treaty provisions. 
  368. Therefore, you must treat the SOFTWARE PRODUCT like any other copyrighted 
  369. material.
  370.  
  371. 4.  U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT and 
  372. documentation are provided with RESTRICTED RIGHTS. Use, duplication, or 
  373. disclosure by the Government is subject to restrictions as set forth in subparagraph 
  374. (c)(1)(ii) of the Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software clause at

  383. express or implied, including, without limitation, the implied warranties or 
  384. merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. The entire 
  385. risk arising out of use or performance of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT remains with 
  386. you.
  387. NO LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. In no event shall Microsoft or 
  388. its suppliers be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, 
  389. damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business 
  390. information, or any other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use of or inability to

  411. Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you (either an 
  412. individual or a single entity) and Microsoft Corporation for the 
  413. Microsoft software product identified above, which includes 
  414. "online" or electronic documentation and may include computer 
  415. software and associated media and printed materials ("SOFTWARE 
  416. PRODUCT" or "SOFTWARE"). 
  417. By installing, copying, or otherwise using the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, 
  418. you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA. If you do not agree 
  419. to the terms of this EULA, you are not authorized to use the

  422. SOFTWARE PRODUCT LICENSE
  423. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is protected by copyright laws and

  427. 1. GRANT OF LICENSE. 
  428. This EULA grants you the following rights: 
  429. --  Installation and Use. You may install and use copies of the 
  430.     SOFTWARE PRODUCT on any computer which is running a licensed 
  431.     copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft SDK for Java, 
  432.     Microsoft Internet Information Server, or Microsoft Visual J++. 
  433.     You may redistribute the SOFTWARE PRODUCT with your own 
  434.     software products in accordance with the terms of the end user 
  435.     license agreements for the Microsoft SDK for Java or Microsoft 
  436.     Visual J++ provided that you own licensed copies of such Microsoft

  438. --  Backup Copies. You may make backup copies of the SOFTWARE 
  439.     PRODUCT for all computers on which you have installed the 
  440.     SOFTWARE PRODUCT.

  442. 2. DESCRIPTION OF OTHER RIGHTS AND LIMITATIONS. 
  443. Limitations on Reverse Engineering, Decompilation, and Disassembly. 
  444. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the SOFTWARE 
  445. PRODUCT, except and only to the extent that such activity is expressly 
  446. permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation. 
  447. Separation of Components. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is licensed as a 
  448. single product. Its component parts may not be separated for use on 
  449. more than one computer. You must maintain all copyright notices on all 
  450. copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT. 
  451. You may not distribute copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT to third 
  452. parties. Rental. You may not rent, lease or lend the SOFTWARE 
  453. PRODUCT. 
  454. Software Transfer. You may permanently transfer all of your rights 
  455. under this EULA, provided the recipient agrees to the terms of this 
  456. EULA. 
  457. Termination. Without prejudice to any other rights, Microsoft may 
  458. terminate this EULA if you fail to comply with the terms and conditions 
  459. of this EULA. In such event, you must destroy all copies of the 
  460. SOFTWARE PRODUCT and all of its component parts.

  462. 3. COPYRIGHT. All title and copyrights in and to the SOFTWARE 
  463. PRODUCT and any copies thereof are owned by Microsoft or its 
  464. suppliers. All title and intellectual property rights in and to the content 
  465. which may be accessed through use of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT is 
  466. the property of the respective content owner and may be protected by 
  467. applicable copyright or other intellectual property laws and treaties. 
  468. This EULA grants you no rights to use such content. 
  469. 4. U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS. The SOFTWARE 
  470. PRODUCT and documentation are provided with RESTRICTED 
  471. RIGHTS. Use, duplication, or disclosure by the Government is subject 
  472. to restrictions as set forth in subparagraph (c)(1)(ii) of the Rights in 
  473. Technical Data and Computer Software clause at DFARS 252.227-7013 
  474. or subparagraphs (c)(1) and (2) of the Commercial Computer Software

  477. 5. EXPORT RESTRICTIONS. You agree that you will not export or re-

  480. currently include, but are not necessarily limited to Cuba, Iran, Iraq, 
  481. Libya, North Korea, and Syria. You warrant and represent that neither 
  482. the U.S.A. Bureau of Export Administration nor any other federal 
  483. agency has suspended, revoked or denied your export privileges.

  485. 6. NOTE ON JAVA SUPPORT. THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT MAY 
  486. CONTAIN SUPPORT FOR PROGRAMS WRITTEN IN JAVA. JAVA 
  487. TECHNOLOGY IS NOT FAULT TOLERANT AND IS NOT DESIGNED, 
  488. MANUFACTURED, OR INTENDED FOR USE OR RESALE AS ON-LINE 
  489. CONTROL EQUIPMENT IN HAZARDOUS ENVIRONMENTS 
  490. REQUIRING FAIL-SAFE PERFORMANCE, SUCH AS IN THE 
  491. OPERATION OF NUCLEAR FACILITIES, AIRCRAFT NAVIGATION OR 
  492. COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS, AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL, DIRECT LIFE 
  493. SUPPORT MACHINES, OR WEAPONS SYSTEMS, IN WHICH THE 
  494. FAILURE OF JAVA TECHNOLOGY COULD LEAD DIRECTLY TO DEATH, 
  495. PERSONAL INJURY, OR SEVERE PHYSICAL OR ENVIRONMENTAL 
  496. DAMAGE ("HIGH RISK ACTIVITIES"). Sun Microsystems, Inc. has 
  497. contractually obligated Microsoft to make this disclaimer. 
  498. NO WARRANTIES. Microsoft expressly disclaims any warranty for the
