│ INTRODUCTION │
└──────────────┘
WC@ is a tool for the SysOp or developer who has a need for
immediate access to the @-MACROS and Xcodes for Wildcat! BBS
uses. WC@ is a TSR Pop-Up which is instantly available after
the initial loading is performed by Pressing the <ALT><INS>
key combination. WC@ uses approximately 41k of your ram. It
does not swap the code to EMS/XMS when it is "popped down"
since it is anticipated that enough RAM will be available to
operate any programs needed.
WC@ is not a simple "help" utility. It has the capability to
transfer any @-MACRO ( except color macros ) to your
application.
┌───────────┐
│ OPERATION │
└───────────┘
You start WC@ by typing "WC@" and pressing the <ENTER> key.
A message will display that tells you WC@ has been installed.
At any point after that, you may press the <ALT><INS> keys
to activate it. Remember this keystroke sequence!
As you are using a text or graphics editor, or perhaps some
other application, a need might arise for you to insert one
of Wildcat!'s @-macros. Some of these you will become very
familiar with while others might be rarely used or needed.
The screen partially clears and the WC@ screen is displayed.
The top of the "window" lists the available commands. These
are the Up/Down arrow keys, the PgUp/PgDn keys, the HOME key,
the ESC key and the SPACE bar. Utilize the cursor movement
keys to locate a macro you wish to use. Then without exiting
WC@, with the ESC key, press the SPACE bar.
You will now see the top line of the scrolling window
displayed with a contrasting background. You may use the
Up/Down arrow keys to position the cursor "onto" the @-MACRO
you wish to use. Once you have positioned your cursor, press
the SPACE bar once again and the @-MACRO you selected will be
transferred to the LAST cursor position on your application's
work surface.
If you decide NOT to transfer a macro, press the ESC key to
return to the initial scrolling window.
