  4. After some investigation, I believe that we have found the
  5. source of the problem that led us to our misunderstanding

  9. product], we were unable to fill the order for immediate

  11. Our letter informing you of this delay and requesting your
  12. instructions was mailed to you on    [date]    We did not
  13. receive a reply and proceeded to send a follow-up letter
  14. to you on     [date]

  16. We have been able to make delivery to you since the [date]
  17. but felt that since you had emphasized "for immediate
  18. delivery" on your purchase order, we should wait for your
  19. authorization before shipping.

  21. I can easily understand why you were so upset with us [day]
  22. if no one made you aware of our correspondence.  We have
  23. always appreciated having you as a customer and hope that
  24. we can continue to provide you with our products in the
  25. future.
