  2.                             INCOME TAX 1993
  3.  
  4.         The income tax package on this disk is Shareware and may be used and 
  5. copied by students and others, provided you copy and pass on the entire disk 
  6. without alteration.  The author is not in any way responsible for the results, 
  7. but every effort will be made to be both correct and accurate. This 1993 
  8. edition of TAXONT93.WK1 etc.,is now quite expanded, and altered to match the 
  9. form as closely as possible with the many different spreadsheets in use, BUT 
  10. STILL CALCULATE AUTOMATICALLY. It still is not feasible to print the actual 
  11. form; too many rules, and too many different printers, though WYSIWYG could do 
  12. it on a laser. If YOU find a bug, please let me know as soon as possible, so 
  13. that I can fix it, and also warn others. The sheets have been checked with 
  14. Cambridge Spreadsheet Analyst, and against two tax guides.  Don't forget to 
  15. rename your templates as soon as you bring them up (/ File Save newfilename). 
  16. Or better still, diskcopy the entire disk or copy to your hard disk. That way 
  17. you always have the original to redo your form, or to pass to someone else.

  20.         I have added TSCHED93.WK1, which contains the various Tax Schedules 
  21. not ESSENTIAL for TAXONT93, plus Schedule "X", for charitable donations. Don't 
  22. forget to transfer these amounts to TAXONT93.  Lotus V 2.3 or V 3.x could do 
  23. that for you, but I deliberately left off any such advanced features so that 
  24. most spreadsheet packages would work.  I have tested the package with student 
  25. Lotus, but not with ENABLE.  As-Easy-As does not correctly evaluate 32 cells 
  26. with multiple values, e.g. F138:-   @IF(C138,C138*E138/C139,0). Please note 
  27. that if you must enter data into a protected cell, go to that location, type 
  28. /Range Unprotect <Enter>. Remember that a data entry to that cell will erase 
  29. any formulae, so copy them down first. The schedules (TSCHED93) MAY be printed 
  30. and used on a return.

  32. You will find it best to complete the various forms and schedules, 
  33. print them out, enter the appropriate values into the TAXONT93 spreadsheet, 
  34. which already contains scheds 1, 7, & 8, print THAT out (I have built in 
  35. printing macros), and then copy THAT to your Tax Forms.  I did NOT build in 
  36. worksheet linking at this time so that Lotus V. 2.0 or 2.01, Quattro etc., 
  37. would still work.  T1C(ONT) 1993 (TXCRON93.WK1) and T1C(ONT)TC 1993 
  38. (ONTTX93.WK1) are also included, but are also incorporated into TAXONT93.

  40.         This has now become a pretty prolonged operation, and I'm now 
  41. "retired", so I look forward to your "voluntary" payments if you find the 
  42. templates useful.  The cost of disks, mailers, postage, test printing, etc., 
  43. has now become in excess of $5.00, so I'm expecting at least $10, except for 
  44. students.  I did get BALER V6 and I will try to produce stand-alone (no 
  45. spreadsheet required) versions, but they will cost a bit more ($20.00). Please
