  17.  II. ASTONISHED AUDIENCE.

  19.      "Shepherds in the field."
  20.      1. They were attentive. v.8.
  21.      2. They were receptive. v.15-16.
  22.      3. They were demonstrative. v.17.

  24.  III. MEANINGFUL MESSAGE. v.10-12.

  26.      1.Mysterious. (element of mystery and intrigue.)
  27.        "Unto you is born Christ the Lord."

  29.      2. Good. v.10. "Good tidings."

  31.      note:  the giving of the law
  32.           a. The voice brought fear and quaking.
  33.           b. The Law was holy, just, good.
  34.           c. But it wasn't good (pleasant) news.
