  37.         a. inspire reverence and worship.
  38.         b. put an end to doubt.
  39.         c. command obedience.

  42. 2.  Unto Abraham. v.1.
  43.      a. Manifestation of God's grace.
  44.      b. no room for doubt.
  45.      c. authority could not be questioned.
  46.      d. obedience required was plain -leave country, friends, family.
  47.      e. required faith - a land I will show you.

  63. III. THE COVENANT AND BLESSINGS.

  69.      a. suppose Abraham gets out of God's will.
  70.      b. suppose the nation becomes idolaters.
  71.      c. suppose they crucify your Son.
  72. 2. I will bless thee. v.2. (personal blessing)
  73.      a. suppose Abraham becomes a liar.
  74.      b. suppose his descendant is a crook and a swindler.
  75.      c. suppose his greatest son is an adulterer and a murderer.
  76.      d. suppose his descendants become so evil they have to be
  77.      scattered throughout the earth.

  80.      a. He was looked upon as a stranger - a city bloke.
  81.      b. Magnify make famous, advertising and declaring virtues

  106. IV. THE CONFLICT AND FAITH.
