  18.             The  great  challenge  to the church today is  the  promise  hope,
  19.         expectation,  that God will perform a mighty outpouring of His Spirit,
  20.         upon all flesh in this generation!

  22.             To usher in this new era,  "Ruling and Reigning" with Christ, will
  23.         take a dynamic change in the existing church.

  25.             Old ways and traditions must pass to allow the new to be birthed.

  137.             Typified by Jonathon - COMPROMISED LEADERSHIP

  139.             There  are  many Christians who are in the situation of  Jonathon,
  140.             the young warrior, trying to make the decision what to do in their
  141.             life.  They  are caught between a tremendous transition and change
  142.             of order in the kingdom of God.
  143.  
  144.             1.  Saul, his father, representing the old order.
  145.             2.  David, the new order (new move) of God.
  146.             3.  Jonathon somewhere in between.
  147.  
  148.             ROMANS 15:4,  is our authority to go to the Old  Testament.   This
  149.             then is  the conflict of a young man anointed of God, who saw the
  150.             new  move  of  God  and  loved  the  ministry,   YET,  even  after
  151.             prophesying  the  coming of a NEW MOVE AND ORDER still  loved  the
  152.             position which he held in the OLD ORDER.

  154.             THIS  IS A MESSAGE AND REVELATION AND WARNING TO THOSE THAT  WOULD
  155.             HOLD  ONTO  THEIR  OLD  WAYS.    WITHOUT  SEPARATION,  DEDICATION,
  156.             PERSECUTION,  WILL  NEVER  ENTER INTO THE FULLNESS OF GOD'S  GREAT
  157.             NEXT MOVE OF THE SPIRIT.

  161.             1. 1 Samuel 13:3 - "AND JONATHON SMOTE THE PHILISTINES"
  162.                The Philistines were a type and shadow of the hordes of demonic
  163.                forces we face today.   Goliath represents a vivid  description
  164.                of Satan.
  165.  
  166.             2. Chapter 14:1 - "LET US GO OVER TO THE PHILISTINES"
  167.                Jonathon  was  not  content  to  sit  and  wait,  he  made  the
  168.                opportunity  by  faith  launched an attack  which  brought  new
  169.                revelation.

  171.                verse 3:  Left the 'Ichabod' situation.
  172.  
  173.                verse 4:  Ascended  into  the  high places where  eagles  dwell
  174.                          (heavenly warfare)
  175.                          BOZEZ - shining with righteousness
  176.                          SENEH - thorn crucifying the flesh.

  178.             Jonathon steps of faith.

  180.             1 Sam. 14:1 - "Come let us go over..."

  182.             Note Saul - hiding  under a pomegranate tree near Gibea.  (He left
  183.             Gibea to hide).

  185.             Jonathon's cry - "come let us go over..." totally out of character
  186.             for  the  fearful frightened frustrated Israel army.   It  was  an
  187.             inspiration of God.

  212.                He saw that it was the dawning of a new day.

  214.                Verse  29  - the errors of his father were revealed  unto  him.
  215.                AFTER  THIS  REVELATION HE WOULD NEVER BE THE SAME  AGAIN.   IN
  216.                THIS  DAY OF REVELATION THE CHURCH OF THE SPIRIT WILL NEVER  BE
  217.                THE SAME EITHER.

  219.                Resulting  in multitudes in the valley of decision,  shall  I
  220.                come out or shall I stay and convert the church of the flesh.

  222.                JESUS SAID IN MATTHEW 15:3 -

  224.                "Why  do  you  transgress  the  commandments  of  God  by   the
  225.                traditions of man".

  227.                Chapter 15 - tells us of the OLD ORDER ENDING.
  228.                Chapter 16 - tells us of the NEW ORDER BEGINNING.
  229.  
  230.                As  Jonathon  observes this conflict he is aware that  he  must
  231.                make a decision of great importance.
  232.  
  233.                1. Remain in the present order that God has rejected ie. Saul's
  234.                   reign.
  235.                2. Follow the truth and conviction in his heart.

  237.                Chapter 17:
  238.  
  239.                To  assist him in his decision God allowed Jonathon to  witness
  240.                the  defeat  of Goliath by the New Order through David and  the
  241.                five fold ministry.
  242.  
  243.                1 Kings 18:4 - The hand shaped cloud -
  244.                Prepare for a deluge the drought is over -
  245.  
  246.                3. Chapter 18:4 - "AND JONATHON STRIPPED HIMSELF"
  247.                   He  gave up his old ways submitted to the new way  of  God's
  248.                   order.

  250.                4. Chapter 19:7 - "AND JONATHON BROUGHT DAVID TO SAUL"
  251.                   Often  people try to bridge the gap;  join the old with  the
  252.                   new.  Luke 5:3, (old patches in new garments).

  254.                5. Chapter 20:24 - "THE KING'S TABLE"
  255.                   God  allows Jonathon to see the true nature of Saul.  v30  -
  256.                   Saul   throws  the  javelin  at  Jonathon.    The  religious
  257.                   attitudes, surrounded by ambition, and pride, now he is also
  258.                   released by the act of persecution and javelin throwing.

  260.                6. Chapter 20:33 - "WHEREBY JONATHON KNEW"
  261.                   Now  the truth is revealed,  God allows the   situation  and
  262.                   opens the door for Jonathon to make his decision.
  263.  
  264.                   HE HIMSELF HAS ENTERED INTO DAVIDS SUFFERING.

  268.                No  longer can he  keep the truth concealed he has been flushed
  269.                out.  COMPROMISE OR COMMITMENT.

  271.                7. Chapter 20:40-42 - "CARRY THEM TO THE CITY"
  272.                   We see here that Jonathon has taken up his armor  again, he
  273.                   has  decided  to stay in the old order.   The man  that  had
  274.                   shaken  the  nation,  the  man that had put  to  flight  the
  275.                   Philistine army,  RETURNS TO THE WALLED CITY.  David remains
  276.                   in the  wilderness of Ziph (a place of a flowing).

  278.                8. Chapter 23:14-18 - "JONATHON WENT TO HIS HOUSE"
  279.                   Not just Saul's house but to his own house ie. anything that
  280.                   has priority ahead of God -
  281.                   DOCTRINE,   ATTITUDE,   OWN  MINISTRY,  PREJUDICE,  MOTIVES,
  282.                   DENOMINATION, LOVE OF MONEY, RELATIONS.
  283.  
  284.                   Genesis 12:1 - "GET THEE OUT FROM THY FATHER'S HOUSE, INTO A
  285.                                   LAND OF PROMISE"
  286.                   Jonathon  lives to see priests slain,  idolatry, witchcraft,
  287.                   bitterness, hate enter the old order of Saul's ministry.
  288.                   BOTH  MEN  DIE FASTENED TO THE WALL OF  BETHSHAN  (house  of
  289.                   ease) TRADITION.
  290.  
  291.                   THE BEAUTY OF ISRAEL IS SLAIN UPON THE HIGH PLACES:  HOW ARE
  292.                   THE MIGHTY FALLEN.
