  14. SON-net is FREE!  Your only charges is for long distance calls.
  15.  
  16. We support both the QWK/REP and FIDO message standard for message flow.
  17.  
  18.   QWK/REP:  The originating hub is The Seed Sowers BBS located in
  19. Toronto, Ontario. (416) 498-5259/5962.  Connections to SON-net can
  20. be made through the mail door for any hubs or nodes wishing
  21. to connect with the network.  This is definitely the best method to
  22. echo!

  24.   FIDO: We also support the FIDO message standard.

  26. BBS's may transfer Fido type of mail in SON-net the following ways:
  27.   
  28.     - 1).  If you are a member of IMEX then you can receive your feed
  29.            through the IMEX network.  SON-net is affiliated with IMEX
  30.            and can feed nodes from any recognized IMEX hub in North 
  31.            America.  The only condition is that you join and become
  32.            a valid member of the IMEX network.  IMEX requires a minimal
  33.            charge ($1) monthly from all nodes (which in many cases would
  34.            be much cheaper than long distance charges).  Call the Seed
  35.            Sowers BBS to download a IMEX application.

  37.      - 2). If you don't wish to join IMEX but would like to still echo
  38.            using the Fido message standard, you may use a program called
  39.            FidoQ.  This program takes QWK/REP files and converts to the  
  40.            Fido message standard.  You would have to receive your feed 
  41.            from a recognized SON-net QWK/REP bbs hub.  FidoQ may be
  42.            downloaded from the SON-net COMMENTS conference on the
  43.            Seed Sowers BBS.  The only charge would be the registration
  44.            fee to the author of the the FidoQ program.

  46.      - 3).  Directly echo the fido messages with (currently) the Seed
  47.             Sowers BBS as the hub.  This would involve calling a hub
  48.             (currently Seed Sowers) and you would use Front door on
  49.             node 2 (498-5962) to send/receive mail.  You would receive
  50.             your nodelist from the Seed Sowers BBS.  The modem on
  51.             node 2 is a GVC 14.4k V32bis.
